FINALLY went to check this place out. Went right when they opened last Friday and there were already customers seated inside. The backyard area where they have their tables is bigger than I expected. Ordered their ceviche and tacos (gobernador and echilosos) which was pretty great, fresh and tasty. Parking can be hard because it's a neigborgood but we got lucky we found one couple houses down. I think you should defintiely come visit right when they open at 11am. They do zelle and cash as forms of payment.

Always a good Sunday when me and friends end up at 106. Family and friends always welcome at this low key spot. Try the Marlin tacos!

I love this place Sergio is one of the best cooks out here. You guys have to try Shrimps in crawfish sauce delicious. Pretty much every plate is finger licking good.

This has nothing to do with the food. I've never dined here before. Been a fan since the Coni's days so I'm sure the food is excellent. Update your hours though. Visited on a Wednesday around 12:30pm and nobody was there. Drove from Santa Monica. Pretty annoying.

Food was so good. A bit pricey but worth the money. The grilled fish made me feel like I was sitting on the beach in Cabo.

Best ceviches in town. Apple ceviche to die for and the marinero with octopus and shrimp is just as magical

I recently discovered '106 Seafood Underground', a hidden gem in a rough, rugged, and sketchy neighborhood. The backyard-style seating, nestled in the owners' residential home, adds to the charm and uniqueness of this spot. The menu boasts an impressive selection of fresh seafood options, but the green apple ceviche and grilled fish zarandeado stole the show for me. The flavors were explosive and tantalizing! While parking can be a challenge, and the neighborhood may seem intimidating, the warmth and hospitality of the owners and staff make up for it. They'll make you feel right at home, even in the midst of a gritty urban setting. I'm torn between wanting to keep this gem all to myself and sharing it with the world. If you're a seafood lover, do yourself a favor and venture into this underground treasure. Just remember, it's a diamond in the rough - but totally worth it!

Not sure what rating to give here since I wasn't able to try their food. Based off the hours and reviews listed, I decided to go during the week to avoid the crowds. I showed up on a Wednesday at 2:30pm, and nobody was there. I actually found parking right across the street, so I felt that everything was going to go great! I drove from OC, and I understand that me driving over an hour to visit your restaurant is not the restaurants fault, but it is their responsibility to list their business hours correctly. I have submit a 'Suggest to edit' on their business hours, so hopefully this doesn't happen to others. If you plan to visit, maybe call ahead. I was sadly disappointed.

I've been coming to this place for years and the food quality and service has never declined. Checo did a great job revamping the backyard area into a nice hangout spot. The only downside is the parking since it is a residential area but it's 100% worth it. Believe me, his food is AMAZING! Anything you order will have your mouth watering. My go to order is camarones langostinos and chicharrón de camarón. It tends to get crowded and wait time may vary but all for good reason. Definitely don't hesitate giving it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Great sea food and very tasty. Great fresh quality. Very nice place in a garden setting. Very friendly staff. In a residential neighborhood. Prices are very friendly as well.
