The Vegetable mix meat with fufu was super delicious at this hidden gem Nigerian restaurant on lincoln. DIno had a great presentation and helped with the menu.Highly recommend this for authentic Nigerian food #NigerianCuisine #MarinaDelRey #AfricanSoulFood#Restaurants@SumptuousAfrican

Egusi was flavorless and nasty. My first time here and I was very disappointed. The fish had a strong odor and taste I almost threw up. Disgusting. I wouldn't feed my dogs this food. Shame on you guys!

If your going for egusi, it's not worth it don't even here you will be disappointed. The egusi had no flavor and like and taste grits. Not worth it.

My husband brought home two meals from this restaurant, the first was goat with plaintain, jolloff rice and some kind of vegetable , the second order was some type of fish maybe tuna . The food was absolutely delicious, this was the first goat meal I ever tried that I truly enjoyed. My husband is Nigerian and he said this made him really miss back home .

Authentic spot with Nigerian cuisine. Came here for dinner on a Wednesday evening around 7pm and there seemed to be a steady inflow of customers, but never a line. The food is pre-prepared. Delivery/takeout is available. There's a private parking lot in front as well as street parking. Credit cards are accepted. They don't have tap water so you'll need to buy bottled water. I got the jollof rice combo with chicken (your choice of soft or hard meat, which I wasn't able to clarify since only soft meat was available at that time). The worker helping me asked if I wanted some sauce in the rice, and I think that was a good call otherwise the rice would've been too dry. The combo came with two pieces of chicken. The food was a bit old but I still enjoyed the rice with stew mixed in.

I have lived in the Long Beach area for over 30 years but only heard about this restaurant chain a couple of months ago so I visited the Long Beach location twice already. it was good food. I will not sit in or bring my family or friend for a "sit- in" dinner here because the sitting set up is just not inviting but at least the service people here in Long Beach are nice., at least the one there when I visited, Yesterday 12/27/23, at about 3:30p I was in Inglewood area and I decided to visit the Inglewood Location "WHAT A BIG MISTAKE" As soon as i entered, I knew what I was in for as I was listening to how the server was talking to the person ahead of me. "NOT VERY WELCOMING" I could have walked out and leave but I had ordered my food ahead and was only there to pick up my order. When it was my turn to be attended to, the server's face, body language and what came out of her mouth seems as if she does not want to be there, the APP messaged me that my order was ready but it was not ready then as I was asking question about my pick, she had an attitude, she answered my question as if I was committing a crime being there, After I picked up the food, the Chicken leg was not well done, there's still blood inside it, the back was dry, the egusi tasted like cold palm oil, I couldn't eat it. As i said earlier about the setup in the Long Beach location, the set-up here in Inglewood is even worse, not presentable. the sitting area is not inviting. No one is sitting and I doubt if anyone will sit in here, (Why have a space for sit-in when you don't make it presentable to actually be inviting to people"??. I happen to go into the Bathroom as I was waiting to pick up my food, the Bathroom is poorly maintained. it's hard to think that whoever started this restaurant chain will not think about making it to be of a respectable standard. very disappointing. (I guess they will say that they are getting some 4-5 stars review?) I cannot even imagine, HOW!! May I also mention that, it is not in the Nigerian Culture to have food sitting there. No other reputable African restaurant I have been to have this set-up. the fried rice and fish sitting there looks so dry, the egusi that I bought tasted like cold palm oil , I mentioned earlier that my chicken was dry and the inside not well done, still has visible blood. overall experience was just disappointing, I hardly write reviews but I hope that this will serve as a way to improve the condition and help the Business.

I really just love this restaurant. The egusi be poppin soooooo hard ! Fresh hot and just so filled with melon seed and just delicious. This restaurant made me fall in love with Egusi and chicken with pounded yam. Yeah .... The women that serve the food have an attitude most of the time but I just don't say much to them. I get my food and I BOUNCE! Will be eating in today tho

This is my first time having this cuisine, and it was delightful. They educated me on all the food that I asked about, and even tailored a dish for me. I recommend the Esugi with a pinch of spice.

Horrible EVERYTHING! Called this spot at 8:20 pm. The woman stated that they only take walk ins at this time. Only a mile away, I drove over. It's only then that she tells me the menu is EXTREMELY limited. Only Jollof and 2 meats, no goat and no egusi. I asked if they maybe had a little of something left. I was willing to pay because this was my first Nigerian food experience. Her real was "we close at 9. We only have rice." I left. BUT I went back the next day. 2:00 pm. The young man convinced me to get the mixed meat and Jollof. Again, no excusing and no goat. I went with the recommendation. HORRIBLE! A plate full of rice, bone and grizzle! One small piece of beef and fatty cow knew and poorly cooked tripe. The sauce was flavorful. The rice wasn't the best in LA. The plantain was plantain. Go somewhere else for authentic Nigerian food. HORRIBLE

Been going here for years from the first time I was addicted to the egusi stew. Consistently good fresh and flavorful!

I would have rated higher, but they definitely need to work on their customer service. I have been wanting to try this place out for quite a while now. I stay downtown Los Angeles, so it's a bit of a distance to drive. Since the closing of the Vuuka lounge downtown, there isn't much of a choice when it comes to African cuisine. Yesterday, which was Sunday I finally had a chance to try it while on break at work. I placed my order online and picked it up from the restaurant myself. I ordered the jollof combo plate and peppered goat soup. Both were very delicious and well seasoned. I did not sit and eat inside the restaurant, so I can't really tell you guys how the atmosphere is but what I can say is that it is definitely a place everyone should try

IT was on Lincoln, not la brea. They don't even claim that location! This was hands down the worst food I've over paid for... EVER! I ordered the jollof rice with goat and they gave me 3 fatty pieces that was all fat and no meat! He made that dish and I said,"oh, we're going to need more meat than that." So I asked for the mixed meat and fish (meat only),and literally got 3 pieces of each! These are small diced pieces that are one bit size! They ring me up and it came to $58!!!! WHAT!!!! And it was hands down the worst food I've ever eaten! I couldn't even stand to smell the jollof rice, let alone eat it! It smelled BURNT not smoky like it should! And the meat seemed like they pulled it out from two days before! Even the fish was hammered but it was literally the only edible thing we got. $60???!!! Really?! I'll consider that a donation to help support Black businesses and will NEVER STEP FOOT IN THAT PLACE AGAIN!Yuck!!!Hours later... full on diarrhea!!!DO NOT EAT HERE!!!
