The food is excellent as was the service. The restaurant itself was empty. Most people apparently get take out. If you have the time, I would definitely dine in.

The service was good, but this is not the soul food I’m familiar with. I ordered Turkey Legs, expected it to come with Gravy, Blackeyed Peas salty and Greens tasted spoiled, dressing was good. Hubby had Red Beans no good, Red Snapper was good, potatoe salad was descent. Gravy they made is lumpy and very pale in color. The lemonade is a very sweet drink no lemon taste at all!We just wasted our money and left not satisfied for sure. Environment is very dry and boring, no music playing. On a good note, it’s very clean!

I wanted some soul food for Sunday dinner so I came here since I was in the area. It was around 6 pm and the place wasn't crowded, no long line. It's decorated nicely with lots of license plates from Mississippi. Now let's get down to why I gave them 3 stars. Two ladies had placed their orders before I came and warned me to not get my hopes up high if I came for ox tails, Greens, or pork chops. Should have listened to the warning. But me thinking... I'm not here for ox tails or chops, I ordered smothered chicken, green beans, black-eyed peas and rice, and candied yams. And another order of catfish, green beans, Mac and cheese. Paid 45 dollars and some change. Sat down and waited for my order. As I sat I looked at my receipt and noticed that fried chicken not smothered was on the receipt. Had to get up and correct it. Then about 15 mins in I'm told no more yams. What? After I paid. They had a sign stating no refund, so I had to choose from what they had left on the menu. I WAS BIG DISAPPOINTED!!! I received fried chicken with gravy on top which was too salty for my liking. I ended up getting the potato salad instead of the yams which were ok. Tasted like store-bought and docked up. Everything else was OK. My boyfriend enjoyed his catfish dinner. He said the mac and cheese was wack but enjoyed the rest of his plate.I'm one for a 2nd try any place can have a bad day. Hope I can catch them on a good day!

I ordered Turley wings, greens, dressing & yams. I put it in the fridge & it spoiled. I live in an extended stay & my whole room smelled. Didn't eat one bite & had to throw it away. SMH!

The best thing about M & M is that they offer three sides with dinner. However, the portions are small.

I was very disappointed! I ordered the oxtails with a side of potato salad, yams, and collard greens via delivery. The flavorless oxtails with gravy were served on a what tasted and looked like Minute Rice. The collard greens were also flavorless. The yams were too sweet and did not have much flavor either. The potato salad...now that was the worse! The potato salad tasted like it all it had was potato and mayo and I actually love mayo, but there was no seasoning, either. Needless to say, after a few bites I had to throw it in the trash! I basically threw away $32 worth of food in the garbage, but that's where it belong. It pains me to have to write this review, but there was no Soul in this food.

My first time trying this place and no ma’am no sir!! I’m extremely disappointed! My fish was under cooked, yams tasted too plain no spice no butter sugar nothing, the mac & cheese was just terrible too oily no flavor at all and definitely lacking CHEESE! The greens were ok could use more seasoning and the corn bread muffins were good but lacking salt and/or butter. I wouldn’t order here again I think The Soul Food Shack Inglewood is way better and Roscoes as well. This place needs serious work sorry not the best in town at all

This place was incredible! I’m from Florida and I’ve had a hard time finding a place locally that reminds me of the food I could get back home but this place definitely lives up.

BBQ chicken is delicious, potato salad, Mac n cheese, hot wings peach cobbler and banana bread pudding so so so good. Great folks and service too. Large restaurant for parties and outdoor area as well. Highly recommend.

Long story short…. The chicken is Salty! The fish is Bland NO seasoning, the Greens are boiled in Water ONLY no seasoning. The Mac & cheese had more oil than cheese && the dressing is Mush = NEVER AGAIN ain’t no darn M&Ms
