im from chicago and NOBODY in LA has even gotten close to capturing southside flavors like this, FRFR. i smelled it and pushed my roadtrip to vegas back 3 hours, sat in traffic and devoured this food like i was on death row. highly recommend

Oooooooweeeee where do i start where do i start. I am so satisfied. As a first timer, i give it a 5 in my books. The food was so amazing. I can taste the smoked on the spare rib & on the rib tips. Not every bbq store makes the bbq bean taste like the way they make it here. The ribs was so soft & juicy .I was able to meet some of the staff at this location especially Mrs. Rhonda. Everyone who i met was very nice, kind & respectful. Take out place only no dine in. Parking is a little tricky but most definitely I'll be coming back.

As we were driving down the street just minding our own business, this smell whipped around and aroused our smelling senses. We looked to the left, then we looked to the right, and we were baffled as to where this glorious BBQ smell could be coming from. We made a quick U-ee and looked again to the left and then to the right. THEN - eureka! We hurried and parked the car, rushed out and joined the many others in line who, like us, had to experience this mouth-watering deliciously tender and succulent BBQ. This story ended well. ? I only tried the BBQ, not the sides.Parking: YupKid-friendliness: YupWheelchair accessibility: Yup

This place is an old staple of the neighborhood. You can smell the wonderful smoke for blocks. I've been coming to this place since I was a kid and it's still consistently good. I love the hot bbq sauce that they serve it's the best. My favorite item to get from here is the small ends they are definitely the best in town. The rib tips are good also and the sides are just ok I believe they're store bought like the potato salad and beans. The service is ok you might have to wait a little while if you don't call in depending on the day.

My husband purchased some rib stibs for me and some beef ribs for him . We were both disappointed in the food . The ribs stibs barely had any meat on the bones and didn't taste fresh , the beef ribs he stated didn't taste fresh . Stop cutting cost to serve your customers last than standards fresh food !

I couldn’t believe how reasonable this Bar-B-Que joint was when we stepped in the door and to my surprise it was the most delicious rib tips and baked beans with the creamiest coleslaw I ever have eaten. I can’t wait to get back to Inglewood to try it again.

Not sure who's cooking the ribs but our rib tips were FLAVORLESS and several were burned! I'll stick with Woody's

On Veterans Day, I wanted some old fashion Barbecue Ribs and Beef Hot-links. So, I went to this location. To be honest, I was reluctant because of the negative reviews I had read. However, I wanted to find out for myself, what was going on. First, driving into the parking lot, I noticed two gentlemen (Phillips Employees) helping a customer load trunk with food trays. That was a plus for me. I went inside the place and was greeted by a young lady ( Ms. Rhonda). She was very welcoming and pleasant. Great costumer service!!!!! I ordered four small end dinners, one rib tip dinner, one beef link dinner and a few small containers of sauce. As I waited for my order, I realized I forgot to order some dessert, so I ordered 2 banana puddings:) Ms. Rhonda said, that's on the house:) So sweet of her. Well, when I arrived home, my family was waiting for the bar b que and said , they were starvin like Marvin(lol). OMGosh!!!! The ribs, rib tips, hot links, baked beans , bread and potato salad were DELICIOUS! Everything was FRESH, NICE PORTIONS. JUST GOOD OLD FASHION BAR B QUE !!!!!!!! The Banana Pudding was Rich and Scrumptious. For the record, I will be returning and next time ordering trays :) KUDOS TO YOU, Ms. Rhonda and Staff. Keep up the GOOD WORK! Phillips is my #1 Bar B Que SPOT!
