I purchased a take-out meal, at the Whole Foods Market, at the District, Irvine, CA. The container the meal was placed in was not for beneficial use. The lid did not stay closed and as a result my food was exposed to the cart, which was unsanitary. When I arrived to the check-out, the Cashier, Alex, tried to secure the container with tape, but, to no avail. She mentioned to me that her Supervisor was nearby. So, I expressed my frustration to the Supervisor, Katie and she immediately resolved the situation. Katie provided me with a fresh meal and secured the container with durable tape and gave me a reusable bag which was a perfect fit, for my meal. I want to commend the Cashier, Alex and the Supervisor, Katie. They should be recognized for their Customer Service. Katie demonstrated excellent Customer Service, because, she exemplified excellence above and beyond normal duties. Katie deserves to be rewarded financially, too. I am a very grateful and satisfied Customer and Consumer.

I enjoyed eggs Benedictplus a fruit cup, and a delicious cappuccino. I would have given 5 stars, but I like bigger coffees. Suggestion: they taste so good - order two.If I were ever to go back, I'd eat breakfast there again.

his place was recommended by our hotel. They said it was a wonderful breakfast, and they were correct! VERY friendly and helpful servers, very tasty food, and a relaxed atmosphere in the crazy part of the city of irvine Highly recommended

We're staying in Irvine, for a week and this has become our regular coffee place. The lattes taste just like the ones back home in NZ, the counter food is great and the service is friendly if a little slow compared to back home.

The variety of items is the same for all the other Whole Foods. The deli bar when I ordered spanakopita gave me the one broken piece that completely fell apart when I went to eat it. Bought 4 blooms of hydrangea for $14 and as soon as I got home, cut the bottoms and put them in water (same as I always do), but they wilted by bedtime and by morning 2 out of 4 were totally dead, browned and wilted. What gives??? When I buy from Trader Joe's, it doesn't do that. All I wanted was a bit of life in all this COVID death and sickness.

Hold onto your seat, this is a long one. I lived across the street from this location when they first opened. It was great. A few years go by and this is by far the WORST whole foods location out there. Here is my experience from last week. Went to pick up some deserts for my fiance, she wanted the strawberry shortcake. We get it along with a few of the $2 cheese cakes for me. They package these items in 2 boxes. Cumbersome, but fine. We get done with the rest of our shopping and upon getting to the car, i decide because I am holding these throughout our ride that it will be easier to condense the containers. Upon doing so I notice some whip cream from the strawberry shortcake on the lid of the container I'm going to toss. What do you do when there is whip cream on a clean container? LICK IT, OF COURSE! And to my horror, it tastes like HAND SANITIZER. Not alcohol extract, not a funky off flavor. Straight up like I had licked my hand after using hand sanitizer. So I have my fiance taste it to make sure I'm not crazy. She is repulsed and quickly starts reaching for water and something else to get the taste out of her mouth. So I go back inside to explain what this tastes like. The customer service lady up front was super nice, shocked at my story and immediately got the bakery manager. A young 20 something Asian who came up to me and started asking me what the problem was. I explain it to her and ask her to taste the whip cream. She refuses because "it left the store" and she "doesn't trust it during this virus". Now remember, i'm asking her to taste the whip cream of a cake that has not been tried (i only tasted what came off on the container) and has been out of the store for all of 1 minute. But FINE, I get it. AND I have a solution. I tell her, fine lets go try one of the other cakes in the display case. She argues with me stating that if she tries the whip cream, she cant sell the product. TOTAL BS, I'm not asking you to EAT a bite out of it, I'm asking you to try the topping. And I call her out for being OK with selling bad food to her customers after getting a formal complaint. She notices that there are customer eyes watching us since we are standing at the front of the store and says loudly barks "I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU WANT, SIR. WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO" to which I bark back "I WANT YOU TO NOT SELL BAD FOOD TO CUSTOMERS. YOU'RE THE BAKERY MANAGER AND THIS TASTES LIKE YOU DIDNT CLEAN YOUR EQUIPMENT, IT TASTES LIKE SANITIZER" and she finally agrees to go back to the bakery and try one of the other cakes. When she gets behind the counter she again says "I DONT KNOW WHAT IT IS YOU WANT" and I then inform her that I am the son of a 45+ year UNION butcher and Shop Steward and the only thing I want is for a MANAGER of a GROCERY STORE to not KNOWINGLY sell contaminated (with sanitizer) food. She then backs down a little bit and realizes I'M NOT DOING THIS FOR ATTENTION AND I DON'T WANT ANYTHING OTHER THAN TO BE TOLD "I'M SORRY FOR THE MISTAKE, WE WILL 86 THE OTHER ITEMS AFTER WE TASTE THEM, HERE IS YOUR MONEY BACK" So she grabs the cake, and walks into the back where she thinks I can't really see her, turns her back and tastes the cake. I walk along the counter so I can see her and her face TELLS IT ALL. It hit her like a ton of bricks and she composes herself and says "umm I taste... um.. the alcohol.. it's just a little strong I think, they use extracts in these.... and uh... we don't make these in house, we order them so I don't know what you want me to do". I don't care how cute you think you are, lady but you're a bad liar and you come up with even worse true info to give. OK so say you don't make them in house... this means you CALL THE COMPANY AND TELL THEM SOMETHING ISNT RIGHT AND YOU DON'T PAY THE BILL. You have a full scapegoat and your way to use it is "uuuhhhh we don't make them in hou

Awful manager - Farman! They sell spoiled food and don't even apologize instead they say it is what it is and we don't refund your money. We bought this item last night and open it this morning. Market's owner should know about this poor customer service and management. And we report this to the department of health.

I've always been a big fan of Whole Foods, but I'm particularly fond of their Chef's Case. This review is based solely on that and not of their grocery store. At the Chef's Case located inside Whole Foods, they have a wide variety of pre-cooked items that you can order to go. My favorite option is to get the Chef's Plate, which includes 1 entree and 2 sides. I always get the salmon with a side of roasted Brussels sprouts and roasted potatoes. The salmon is flaky and has just enough seasoning. The Brussels sprouts are cooked to perfection, as are the roasted potatoes. The price of the Chef's Plate ranges from $9 - $12, depending on what you get. The salmon is on the higher end at $12. For the amount of food that comes with it, I feel that it's worth the price. I always make 2 meals out of it! They throw it all in a sturdy brown box, so you don't have to worry about the food leaking out. They have a wide variety of foods to choose from for your Chef's plate, including Paleo-friendly options, plant-based foods and your regular favorites like lasagna, London broil, chicken, etc. Service is always fast and friendly at this location in Irvine, as well as the one in Laguna Niguel. They always seem to have a lot of employees working behind the Chef's Case who are eager to help. If you want a quick and easy solution for lunch or dinner, the Chef's Plate is the way to go!

Parking sucks. Way too many business and not enough parking. Well kept, clean and prices are the same as every Whole Foods market I've been too. The have a wider selection of beer than most places.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE TERRIBLE Customer service experience at the Bakery!!! Bakery's section!!! NOT professional!!! Connie is soooo rude and NOT professional at all !!! Such a horrible customer service!!! I came here to ask if I could buy a custom cake for Saturday February 29, 2020. Here I met very rude person her name was Connie and she told me "you need to order a head of time and we can't". I told her all I want is a 8" custom cake and it was mentioned online for Wholefood Website you need 48 hrs in advance. But it still she was soooo rude and not professional at all. So, I was so upset and I asked the cashier on my way out and she called Hanna. Hanna was very professional, super nice and understanding. I explained to her what happened and how unprofessional this person was. She listened and tried her best to fit my order. Thanks to Hanna and I hope Wholefood management staff see my review and take action and tell or train Connie on how to deal with customer and how to be professional. I don't think that kind of behavior or unprofessionalism is acceptable and tolerated!! I'm hoping no one would have the same kind of behavior.

I am coming here a lot. Lately there is Very bad Customer service. Rude and not helpful. I stayed in line for about five minutes. Cashier lady (#5) saw me for sure. After while she decide to go on lunch break(probably). She put the sign on the front of meGo to the next cashier. I asked her, you saw me I am standing here for long time already, do you want me to go somewhere else? She said yes. So I have to move to the next cashier where line was super long. Last time I was there, there was a lot of shelf's empty, no forMula for babies, no fresh bread, no more sushi, just two options at the soup bar, no more fresh tiramisu, no more tallagio cheese. When I asked for more, they told me we don't have more with upset face why I am even bother! I am very disappointed how this store is manage.

This whole foods is near my house, so I go to this one often. The salad bar is not as nicely stocked as the Whole Foods in Tustin. This Whole Foods reminds me of a Food 4 Less. As soon as you walk in you smell the seafood from the corner in the back of the grocery section. This location also has Alkaline water dispenser which is a plus. Unlike the Tustin whole foods that has a big bar area and Mendocino Farms inside. They do have a small bar section and their drinks are made just right. Not watered down and you can buy a bottle of wine and bring it to the bar and they will uncork and serve while you visit. Also the sage here is $10.99 when you can buy a bundle of the same sage at your other locations for no more than $3.00. Their candle selection is also very limited. They do have a coffee bar and smoothie spot where you can also order an acai bowl. The flower section is smaller compared to the Tustin Whole Foods. However, this location does have better parking then the Tustin Whole Foods.

Review is for Philip and Lydia in the sushi department because they have mastered the art of making salmon avocado rolls. My best friend and I come here weekly to get fresh rolls and are never disappointed - perfect ratio of avocado to salmon to rice.
