We had an amazing experience in this spot. We liked the extraordinary ambience and the food. The waiters are super personal. I am happy we finally decided to try this restaurant.

COVID-19 Review: I literally have never ordered take-out from a Chinese restaurant. But on Mother's Day, I had a craving for Chinese food, so found Wok Hei on Yelp and trusted my fellow reviewers' high ratings. It was close to us (same plaza as Starbucks) and I called during the day to make sure they were open and about how long of a wait time to expect for pickup. The guy who answered was really friendly and nice. We called later to order and hubs went to pick up and said the food was pretty much ready. We ordered the mushu pork (I had called to make sure the wrappers were packaged separately and I wouldn't be receiving mushy Chinese burritos), and the All-in which was a little bit of each meat, including shrimp and veggies. The food arrived really hot and the mushu wrappers were bundled in foil. They were not soggy at all and they were definitely the right kind of wrapper that are just thin enough so you don't mistaken them for tortillas and thick enough to hold all the inner goodness. It came with two sauces for the mushu and 5 wrappers. We made pretty big wraps, yet still had a little bit of meat leftover. The food was really fantastic, not too salty as I've found in many Chinese restaurants, unfortunately, and it was all really HOT in temperature, which was amazing. The rice, which came with the entree, was perfectly cooked and the entire time I ate, I was thinking, I can't wait to go again to get their honey walnut shrimp! Thanks for making my first Chinese take-out experience amazing!

They ran out of rice still charged the same price and never gave us any sauce or soy or nothing. Order and tip costed 40 dollars but didn't taste like the traditional dishes. They make everything the same.

Very elegant and convenient place. They provide generous meals and for economical rates. I loved the menu very much and the staff were very welcoming and explanatory. Will definitely recommend this spot.

This spot is worth a visit. They have large portions for affordable prices. Constantly well organized and with good atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Portions are big but the food is bland. When I went the server was coughing and blowing her nose behind the counter. Without washing her hands, she delivered our food with her nose running. It was not a good experience. Don't go to work if you're sick.

We ordered xinjiang style braised chicken and it's good, and the glass noodle is like my family taste!

Food is good. Nothing I can't get at A&J or some other spot. No longer is the price good. Everything has gone up $1, as per their note on their menu. I get it, Irvine is expensive. Waited 25 minutes in an empty restaurant for 2 lunch specials and an onion pancake. Not even worth it. Food made fresh though. That's for sure. Except now I realize why their "lunch specials" come with fried rice...this has to be yesterdays white rice. GET YOUR SH*T TOGETHER PLEASE.

Wanted soup and didn't want to drive all over town or wait in a long line. Decided to try this hole in the wall Chinese place. I mean it is called "Best Foods." My husband and I ordered the Braised Beef Brisket Noodle Soup. He got his spicy. I asked for mine without noodles and with extra veggies. The waitress didn't seem to know what I was requesting so she called the owner. He said, "Keto?" Lol. Yup. He made me a special bowl with no noodles and extra veggies and bean sprouts. Now that's service!!! Thank you!!!

Messed up my order, over charged me, had bad service, and the food was mediocre at best. Wouldn't recommend to anyone that is looking for good food.

Here's my disclaimer. I don't know Beijing food at all. I don't know what is good or bad, tasty or not. I know food because I like to eat. I can tell if the meat is chewy or not. Braised beef means the beef is cooked enough enough for it to be tender, not chewy. The braised beef was a bit chewy. I chewed until my jaw hurts and I just had to spit it out. The other pieces of meat weren't as chewy but it was still tough. The broth was a bit salty. There wasn't enough bok choy. The eggs were good. This is coming from a person who doesn't know much about Beijing food. Is the meat supposed to be chewy and broth to be salty? I have no idea. Maybe it wasn't my taste. For Thinsulin fans, there's limited green light options.

Really good dry pot. I usually get a special combo with beef tripe, pork intestine, and spam.
