Two out of the 3 starts given are just because the people working there are so nice. The food is not worth it but they do include a free drink. They mentioned new dishes coming soon so I'm hoping to go back and try again.

The quality of food is excellent. Always fresh and flavorful. The portions are good & drink included. The service is always great and attentive! We live across the way and this is our new favorite spot. Best spot for this cuisine in the area.

I used to come here a lot before pandemic, and today is the first time I come after wfh. It's totally different from before, I don't know what happened. The noodle is different, the price is much higher. The soup base is different. I spent 14 dollars for noodle, which is 12 just half a year ago. And don't trust any pictures here. The restaurant has changed and the food is totally different now.

This is definitely one of the best Chinese noodle places in Irvine. Large portions, rich broth, and springy noodles, I come here whenever I'm in town. Service is very nice and the restaurant is clean. A must try if you love beef noodle soup!

To my surprise, their food taste better than i expected. It's pretty authentic. There's no wait when we went for a week night dinner. Food served fast. Tasted pretty authentic. It's nice to find an authentic noodle place in this area. We'll definitely come back.

More like 4.5 stars! Reasoning are as follows: Don't usually like Taiwanese food, out of all the Asian cuisine it's not my top 3! That being said, I tried the braised beef noodle soup here along with fried chicken skin and sausage for appetizers. The broth is tasty without feeling overwhelming...the noodles are good, no complaints! The chicken skin and sausage was amazing if you love savory. Our waiter was considerate, constant refills on water, asked us how we were doing periodically.. At the end, asked if we were enjoying the food and if we had any comments. Pricing seems fairly standard for the area. Overall experience was positive...definitely would recommend and will be coming back!

The place is new so they don't have their sign up yet. There's an orange banner up on the store front and they're located left of subway. Beef braised noodle soup was good and they have a choice of rice noodle as well. The dried spicy beef noodle soup was pretty salty. Their beef pancake tasted great too. Not as oily or fried as other places. Worth trying!

Got the beef noodle soup. Pretty good for the speed and proximity to my work so that's why the 4 stars. No frills. I think I asked for adding more green onions that's it. I liked the meat proportions. They gave a lot which was welcoming. The broth was good. But the other dishes I didn't try. I didn't see many that stood out.

Pretty good noodles. The flavor is pretty genuine and it may be a bit overwhelming for western tastes. We still enjoyed. You can choose regular or rice noodles. The most popular dish is the spicy braised beef noodles.

Not bad, some of the items I wanted are no longer on the menu. Service was good, and soup had great flavor. Would try again.

I discovered this place after my yoga practice across the shopping center. At first i thought it might've been Ramen but it was "noodle soup" the Chinese version I'd like to think. Eason was my server he was amazing, quick to recommend and friendly! I had the mushroom noodle soup and the green honey tea.I would highly recommend this place.

I'm d*** and came to a TW beef noodle soup place on the second day of (trying) to be vegetarian... so I got the only vegetarian thing on the menu-- mushroom noodle soup! And I changed the noodles to 粉 cause we all know that's the superior noodle. Came out a wee bit bland but if you add in the spices they give you in the 3 small plates it hits the SPOT. Came in on a Tuesday night around 8:30 PM on my way down to SD. I was the only guest. The server was nice!

I was really excited when they closed down Tap Ex for BZ Bees! After over 10 years, they were finally opening up a new place in the plaza! Since I live in the area, I frequent the plaza and am always looking to try new places, so I decided to try this new spot. I ordered the beef noodle soup and wanted some boba too. Wait... what boba menu? They had about 5 options to choose from so I went with the basic milk tea boba and the galaxy drink. Both were a big disappointment. The milk tea didn't taste like milk tea at all... super watered down and tasteless. Same with the galaxy drink. On the other hand, the beef noodle soup was so salty that I couldn't finish even half of it. Sadly, I will not be returning here anytime soon since there are too many other options in Irvine to choose from. I will say that the service here is pretty great. I just wish I liked the food more.

NOODLES: Let me TELL you. I've gone here quite a bit and have tried a few things on the menu so far (Braised beef Noodle Soup, Hunan Style Combo Noodle Soup, Braised Pork Belly Rice Plate, etc.). The dish I would rank #1 is the Hunan Style Combo Noodle Soup. Out of all the dishes I've tried, I consistently get the Hunan Style Combo. I know people come here for the Braised Beef Noodle Soup, but please try the Hunan Style Combo Soup! It has a meat/egg pancake, mushroom, meat, and bok choy. The soup is super fresh and normally when I go to noodle places, I never drink the soup because I fear excessive amounts of MSG- but this soup tastes really healthy and hearty. I tend to add a little chili oil for some kick, but I down the soup in a few minutes because of how light it is. I feel like I'm eating mom's cooking and that's always the best feeling. RICE: The rice plate was also super good! I was feeling a little adventurous that day and decided to order it. Wow. The rice is sticky just enough where the texture tastes good, but not to the point where it's hard to chew. The pork? Super soft. The sauce? Saucy. All in all, a "lit" dish. LOCATION: They're in a tucked away plaza in the middle of several business complexes. I can't imagine them getting too many customers outside of lunch hours and with the competition down the street at Diamond Jamboree. It's a nice gem tucked between a Dry Cleaning place and Subway. Parking is never too brutal and there's never a wait time for the restaurant. Support your local family businesses! I don't have to do that typical Yelp thing where someone says, "I definitely won't/will be back," because I keep coming back. LPT: Ask for RICE NOODLES. If not, you'll get the regular egg noodles. Rice noodles with these dishes just taste so much better! TLDR; Hunan Style Combo Noodle Soup with RICE NOODLES (Specifically ask for Rice Noodles, no matter the dish), or the Braised Pork Belly Rice Plate if you're feeling some good ol' rice.
