Located inside Zion Market, Mochicat sells mochi donuts and Korean rice hot dogs. We came for the hot dogs! You start with the base (sausage, mozarella, etc for $3-5), then you add your outside (traditional, sweet potato, etc for $0-2), then decide if you want sugar or not. It was pretty good. The only thing is there's not a lot of options at Mochicat. Other Korean rice hot dog spots have a lot more toppings, so mixing and matching is more fun. But if you want something more basic, this will do!

Find Mochicat inside of Zion near the back by Paris Baguette. They offer mochi donuts and rice dogs here. Rice dogs are fried to order and several ways to customize it to your liking. I got the half and half (sausage and mozzarella) and was slightly disappointed. The rice dog was literally half mozzarella and a small portion of hot dog near the end..not sausage. The sauces are good additions (mango habanero and honey mustard). Sauces come on the side and are not drizzled on top. Sugar is always a must! The mochi donuts are chewy..but premade. It was cold. Not sure how long it's been sitting there..

YUMMMM!! First time trying Korean corn dogs, and I was surprised how much I liked it! I ordered the half-half with ramen + light sugar and it was soooooo tasty. Perfect amount of sugar/crunch/cheese. Can't wait to come back and try another flavor (My friend got the same except sweet potato instead of ramen - he also loved his!)

Got our Order wrong. We paid extra for sauce and did not come with sauce either. Would not recommend ordering through the yelp app. Maybe it could be a better experience if ordering in person.

Surely they knew it was burnt when they bagged it for me in the brown bag. Didn't realize until I got home. It tasted burnt and bitter

Weekend is the cheat days and I run to get Mochi Donut right away.I got a dozen of 2 donuts each flavor:1. Plain2. Oreo & chocolate3. Strawberry4. Original5. Snow white6. YoghurtThe Mochi donut has been very popular right now for its chewy yet sweet & flavorful tastes. They look really cute in a box. Love the look and this can be good to buy for friends’ gatherings. The location is also convenient for taking place within the Zion market in Irvine. They offer a lot of different ready made food in the food store area. Mochicat also offers drinks and Korean rice hot dogs that I will try next time! Last but not least, I love their cute logo. Definitely catches my eyes! A little pricey for the donuts is the only drawback, but it’s okay for cheat days.

Located inside Zion Market. Used to be a Mochinut and is now a Mochicat. Nut ...Cat... different name but taste just the same. Doughy..chewy..tasty! We had pistachio, original, churro, blueberry, and chocolate tonight. A dozen will cost you $30. ($2.5 a piece) Not too bad of a wait. In and out in about 5 minutes.

Best donuts in Orange County!I think they are better than Krispy Kreme.

Mochicat is located on the left of Zion when you walk in and has 6 different flavors to choose from. I got a box of 12 ($30). Ordering is super easy and they have examples of each donut to make ordering super easy. As far as flavors: 1. Churro: Great balance of cinnamon and sugar 2. Coffee: Great flavor and comes with a Biscoff cookie to top it off! 3. Original- Had a sweet vanilla glaze on the top 4. Matcha - Green Match Tea 5. Red bean - Super fresh and alot of red bean flavor 6. Strawberry - Really sweet and reminds me of a strawberry cream

My bf and I came here to check out the Korean corn dogs. The cashier was nice and the food came out hot & fresh, but I left feeling really underwhelmed. We ordered the cheese stick with potato, the traditional sausage/cheese with light sugar and the sausage with potato. The batter was light and crisp, but overall, I think everything really lacked flavor. We basically had to dunk our food with spicy mayo and ketchup. I'll come back to check out the mochi donuts, but I'd pass on recommending the corn dogs.

Used to be MochiNut, not sure why the change but who cares, still great stuff :) When it was MochiNut and new, they used to make you order a half dozen of mochi donuts , which made no damn sense. Most of your demographic are starving students, they're not ordering a half unless their friends are chippin in lol. Or what if you're a casual coffee drinker and just want one donut for your drink !?! So I'm glad they did away with the minimum. My sister and I have tried many flavors , all of them were great. Not heavy, or greasy. Perfectly fried mochi donuts. I definitely need to come back to have another dog on a stick. I was starving one day and needed a Scooby snack, I ordered the half sausage and half cheese stick. Had a nice crispy almost flake like outside and tasty on the inside . Even my mom was impressed. We had no idea what to expect but damn it was good. It's been awhile since I've been back but I never forget how good that tasted! I can't wait to try a topper coating and other fillings . This place is solid for a snack on the go :)

I came here looking for mochinut, it turns out that they decided not to re-franchise the name and they are now mochicat! Honestly, I think this recipe if they changed it... Is better! I didn't think that was possible because I loved the mochinut recipe but this was so good! The donuts are perfectly doughy and not too sweet and so enjoyable! I'll keep coming back!

It’s pre-made!!! So disappointed that it’s not hot off the oven. Should have known because you see trays and trays of already made donuts. It’s not even hidden from plain sight. I still got it anyways.Compared to Mochinut, it’s not hot upon order and it’s a tad bit smaller. Would have been 1 star but got a boost because we got the corn dog. The flavors lack their description and it’s all dried out. The mochi remained chewy. Price is the same as their competitor, $15 for 6, $30 for 12, $3 for 1.As far as flavors:-churro- Normally this would be my favorite but Mochicat doesn’t put not enough cinnamon and sugar on both sides to taste it.-Yozu- this is a Japanese citrus fruit like lemon and tangerine combined. You barely taste it unless you have the piece with the citrus on top.-Nutella - it’s just Nutella spread on-Berry berry - has a tartiness to it, almost like smuckers-Original- This would normally be my favorite due to the glaze. But it’s not the same here.-Honeydew-Taste like bubble gum honeydew milk tea.Out of all six flavors, honey dew would be the best choice because it has the most flavor next to the berry. It’s located in Zion to the left by Paris Baguette. They also sell corn dogs and drinks. Fortunately, the corn dogs are made to order and came out hot. We got mozzarella/traditional/no sugar. The cheese seems to be a bit chewier here but it could also be because we waited until we got home and it cooked down.
