So when I made a visit on Sunday between 2pm -4pm the cafe was not too busy however, my order with a simple chai tea & avacado toast took 30 mins to prepare, I was told as they are busy would be 10 mins wait for the toast to be ready. The person who’s taking order and backend staff were only one or two in number who were running the show, guess due to that order took 30 minutes..

I came last weekend with my boyfriend and we got the sweet potato cheese pretzel and an iced Einspänner coffee. The potato pretzel was unexpectedly great, and Coffee Tomo is one of the few places I've been able to find Einspänner in OC. Will be returning for these two items very soon.

The coffee is good, the atmosphere is ok...but that sweet potato cheese pretzel, is a show stopper! The indoor seating is a little tight, but there is plenty of outdoor seating options.

Great space for studying or getting some work done. Ordered the non-caffeinated sweet potato iced late and substitute for milk charge was $1.50, so steep! Aside from that the drink was really good and the lady made it right on the spot. There's a good amount of tables and a few available outlets. Free wifi too. People were mostly quiet which was nice. Their pastries looked yummy as well so next time would have to try them!

We stopped at this coffee shop heading back to San Diego based on a glowing review from someone who must be related to the owner. Yikes. While they were friendly enough, the coffee was terrible. I I can't sugarcoat it. I ordered a small Americano and a large mocha and I don't know what happened to the coffee but it was terrible. If they've reused beans from the day before or they have just the weakest coffee beans that they grind but it's so bad that we are honestly ready to throw it out. The price wasn't bad...no different than Starbucks but it was the taste that would make me pass it by. Honestly, the person who wrote the review, the review that compelled my husband and I to pull over and go there???? She could sell water to a well, she could see fire in hell...she MUST be in sales! If not, she's missing her calling.

My morning pick-me-up spot before work! Coffee Tomo is such a hidden gem in Irvine and I'll always recommend them to friends when they're in the area. The Tomo Latte is simple but delicious, and I ALWAYS make sure to get a freshly made pretzel before I go. These pretzels are hand made to order and soooo yummy! I personally love the jalapeño cheese pretzel, but when I have a sweet tooth I'll go for the sweet potato & cheese pretzel. Coffee Tomo is also a wonderful study spot! I like to come here after work some days as well to do some planning for the week. It's quiet enough that I can focus, but also has that nice coffee smell and usual tinkering from the hard working baristas that really builds the coffee shop ambiance -- you know what I mean?Anyways, please support this small business and do yourself a favor and try out Coffee Tomo! One of my favorite Japanese American businesses in OC, from a fellow Japanese American

Very nice worker and solid environment to study. It was packed with students so it made for a nice environment to follow along. Got the iced mocha which wasn't sweet since they use dark chocolate but it was still very good and strong to carry me through my 5 hour study session. Definitely will be coming back.

They took 20 mins+ to make our lattes and even after that they were subpar. They have certain lattes that apparently don’t even have coffee or tea in them (we ordered the pumpkin spice latte) and that wasn’t made known to us until after. The pretzels are okay, but would not recommend Tomo.

Decent spot. But I'm not sure how to justify extra charge of $1.5 for a breve latte using half & half. This is only kind of coffee I drink, and been more than. Eight years. Everywhere I go, no shop exceeded one dollar. Not in Newport Beach, Not in Malibu, not in manhattan, not in London. Speechless and I am apparently too poor to come here going forward . " Supporting small businesses " doesn't mean that you can charge whatever you like and I have to be OK with it.

Ordered a small cappuccino and it came out to $5.25. It came out burnt and with way too much hot milk- basically a tiny overpriced latte. Not thrilled at the quality especially compared to the price and size, but it's a good place to study. Could easily spend several hours here, and there's ample outlets. A good amount of seating too! Came here at @ 9 AM and it was relatively slow with two other customers, so the service was pretty fast. Not sure if I'd be willing to spend over $5 on a mediocre cappuccino, but it sure beats 2 hour parking. Would recommend if you really need to hunker down and work for a solid 4 hours because hopefully at that point a drink or two comes out to around $3 an hour.
