The takeaway Ono plate includes Kalbi ribs, spicy porks and katsu chicken. The portion is quite sufficient, but these three types of meat are too dry and hard to eat!

Generous portions and great flavors! Will have to come back to try their all day breakfast. Restaurant is located in a big shopping plaza in Irvine with plenty of parking.

I feel like the place is completely underrated. The food is delicious. You can share a plate between 2 people, employees are nice, and it's consistent! Every time I come here I can see people look in but keep walking due to the more flashy restaurants around it, and it's frustrating! I wish I could pull them inside myself to get them to try it. It's hands down some of the best Hawaiian I've ever had. I drive an hour at least twice a month just to get my fix. But I do feel like the inside needs a makeover, maybe more lights (it's dark), restroom remodel, some pictures of the food/menu plastered on the windows...etc. Just some visual aspects to draw in some new cliental you know? Also, I feel like when people think Hawaiian they think ONO Hawaiian and it's soooo much more authentic than that, and a million times more delicious. Definitely give this place a try. Maybe not the masubi though. ? I definitely recommend the Lava/Ono plate and the fried dumplings. As for the sides they're all ??.

First off...the ONLY reason I gave them a 3 in food is cause my loco moco is missing the so important macaroni salad.Other than that, the burger patty was delicious. The eggs were perfectly cooked over easy so the yolk went all over when I cut into it.The rice was on point. It was all good. The ambiance was good with Hawaiian music playing in the background. But I do miss my Mac salad !!!! That being said, I will be back ! ?

Service went down here sad to say. I ate at the daluau last week and I always get the same thing. I get the tocino breakfast plate. Last two times my tocino was pretty burnt. I didn’t have the energy to complain about my food cause I didn’t wanna wait and get the same burnt food. I had already lost my appetite so I didn’t bother ..

Came during lunch on Saturday after a failed beach trip. Usually when I crave Hawaiian style, I go for garlic shrimp, Kalua pig, or beef. The coconut shrimp appealed to me the most, but I wanted a mixed platter, so I chose No Ka Oi with fries and green salad. Green salad and shrimp were excellent: salad was crisp with ample dressing, and shrimp had a great coconut aroma and flavor without having too much breading. Fries were also very good: not greasy, crispy outside fluffy inside steak cut.Salmon was good, but could have been more moist; I added some sauce to mine. The BBQ chicken was only okay: the texture was halfway between jerky and grilled. I would have preferred it more moist, because trying to reheat it in the microwave only dries it out further.I ate outside, which was fine for shaded seating, but high tables. Inside also has seating, but is unremarkable. I recommend the shrimp and salad, but not the chicken. I’ll probably try beef next time!

Loved the food! My mom had the Na Ka Oi combo with fried rice, I had the pork bowl and my sister had the beef bowl. All were flavorful and generous portions. Staff was friendly and helpful. If you come before 10:30am, they have a $2.99 pancake special which includes coffee. Only small issue was the torn upholstery on one of the bench seats.
