I really love this restaurant and it was my first time here! We ordered the spicy garlic edamame to start and then salmon don rice bowl, salmon roll, and Philadelphia roll. Everything was super fresh and yummy!

Food was satisfying and came out super quickly after ordering! We ordered the 3-set bento, the tiger roll, and the spicy yellowtail roll for 4 people and everything tasted really good and came in decent portion sizes. We loved the spicy yellowtail roll! Great service too, and like that it's open late. would recommend!

Server is very sweet. Food is delicious! They use quality ingredients you can taste. Highly recommend the sushi and chashu ramen :)

Service was really quick and the water was always refilled before we even noticed! Good music playing while we ate as well!

Kiwami occupies a curious spot in the Jamboree Promenade. Stepping inside, Kiwami feels more akin to a fast-food joint with a mere handful of tables. The menu offers a mix of sushi, their signature noodle soups, and bento boxes. I opted for the chirashi don, hoping it would be a reliable indicator of their overall quality. Classic Chirashi Don ($25): For the price point, the portion size of the classic chirashi don was shockingly small. It arrived solo, devoid of any accompanying soup, salad, or sides. Disappointingly, even after finishing the entire dish, I was left wanting more. The quality of the fish itself wasn't necessarily bad, but it struck me as unremarkable, especially considering the abundance of exceptional sushi options in Irvine. Overall, the high prices are particularly hard to swallow considering the meager portion sizes and lack of included extras. While I didn't try their noodle soups, which presumably hold the key to their reputation, based on this experience, I'd recommend managing expectations and exploring other options in the area unless you're specifically craving their broths. The bento boxes, priced at $24 for two items and $30 for three, seem to follow the same pattern of questionable value. Recommendation: If you find yourself in the Jamboree Promenade and have your heart set on sushi, I recommend steering clear of Kiwami. There are undoubtedly better options nearby that offer more for your money.

this spot is super cute and clean-- i love the feeling of it all. located in a plaza, it's at the corner of the building and the space is small. my friend and i opted for the bento of 3 choices. i ordered the beef belly, california roll, and 5 piece sashimi. it comes with rice, miso soup, small salad, and the entrees of course. everything tasted delicious and the single server was so attentive. i think for the price i paid and how full i was-- id definitely come back again for some japanese cuisine!

Having read many good reviews. We thought we give this neighborhood place a try. We ordered Kiwami no rice sushi burrito & braised beef noodle. The burrito was okay but I had stomach issue the next day. The beef noodle soup didn't taste like beef broth with tiny cubes of beef & halved fish balls. The condiment was oily and looked unclean.

They canceled my order on uber eats after I have been waiting for 40 minutes and told me that I have to pay at the terminal, only reason i ordered through uber is because I get rewards and cashback from there. I was fine paying at the store but I didn't see for what reason and why I was only told that after a 40 minute wait. After getting my sushi (finally), I went home to eat it and of course as soon as I open it I see that my order is messed up. my tiger roll looked like a caterpillar and my volcano baked roll looked like unagi. I wish I could get in contact with business owner to see what can be done but I have paid cash and I wasn't given a receipt but if I was lying I wouldn't have had the uber eats receipt. I do not hold a grudge against employees or cooks, they were attentive and kind and mistakes happen we are people.

The customer service was attentive and fast. However the food is mediocre, price is a little above average, and the space was small. The sushi took a while to come out. The bento box was microwaved luke warm. I wouldn't recommend for sushi or the bento box.

Hidden gem in Irvine!! Came in with my family and there was something for everyone here. My daughter really loved the chicken karaage (gud chicken and cat decoration :] )

I just moved to the area and let me tell you that this place makes it worth it. What a gem! First time I'm @ this place from entering the store it feels like a cozy little home with a welcoming smile from everyone. It's a little store but one of those places you almost want no one to know it exists just out of selfishness :) Sushi rolls are fresh with great prices. If you like sushi this is a place where you get great sushi plus an authentic touch. 10 stars

Have a chance to try this place since they are known for their sauerkraut fish soup noodles. Various noodles soup bases. We ordered the sauerkraut fish soup with udon noodles and the house special snoodleSoup. The house special is not bland, Milky soup with various fish fillet and fish balls. The sauerkraut fish noodles has a little kick to it. We also ordered the spider crab roll to try. Pretty decent. The place offered indoor and outdoor seating! Staff was really friendly and accommodating. Clean and quite cozy.Parking: Plenty of parking spaces in the below ground parking lot, the parking area on the ground level is difficult to find.

If you're looking for a nice relaxing and cozy place to have sushi this is a great spot. I went here after an orchestra performance with some friends and we all loved it. Service was nice, patient, and very helpful with the menu, providing some samples to a couple who were asking questions when I was there. Overall, the food is good and the prices are fair, a little on the cheaper side compared to other sushi spots in the area. It's nothing that'll blow your mind, but it's a very nice comfort place and I will definitely be revisiting anytime my friends and I want sushi late at night!
