Service was good but very slow. Ambiance was ok for a very old restaurant. The food was not great sadly.

Average food. The fish and chips had such dense fish it was like chewing steak. The fries should be ordered well done. The fried mushrooms had too thick of a coating around them. The milkshake is average. Next time I'll have to try a Pastrami Burger.

Unbelievably filthy with a terrible sandwich. I could not believe my eyes when we walked in at 7:15 pm on a Tuesday night, 90% of the tables were dirty and only 2 customers were in the restaurant. I ordered a French dip sandwich, since that's something I always enjoy. When I received it, it was as dry and hard as can be.. It had to be the worst sandwich I have ever received. Not something that I normally do but I had to take it up front and ask if I could have something else anything else !

As Gordon Ramsay would say, "Shut it down!". Burnt zucchini, stale fries, and bad cold burgers and sandwiches from staff that just don't give a crap. But they do serve it.

I can't believe this only gets 3 stars. Knowlwood hasn't changed in - forever. Great old building, lots of light. Easy parking. Consistently good food - I almost always get a burger and fries, a patty melt, a tuna melt, or a chili omelette w home fries.

The lady took kind of long to get to us, but she was so nice. We got the food fast and it was super cheap. The portions were big for the price, I got a quesadilla and french dries for five bucks. Super good. I would recommend mwahh.

First and last that I will visit this restaurant. The place look so so the wood chairs are not comfortable. My wife and order a beef deep sandwiches after taking a long time to get it, it was warm not hot and the meat you could not pulled apart and well done and dry, I guess I am fussy but I like Arbys 100% better and for about the same price. So my wife took the food back and server DIDN'T said a thing, maybe sorry. So she order me a hamburger with parmesan cheese, the hamburger did not have any flavor and looks like it was cook last week, very dry and thats supposed to be the worlds best hamburger. Jack in the Box has a better burger with flavor. My wife order a breakfast which was more expensive than Dennys next door, which we go there all the time
Wow! I used to love coming to knowlwoods with the kids after a sporting event. Just recently came on a whim. The burger was cold and did not include the requested onions. The Irish Nachos were cold and stale. I did not know you could mess up fries that badly. Last visit for me.

This is one ☝️ unique old school restaurant and love how they kept it the way it was , so yea don’t expect service , new furniture and lot of cleaning . Like the old American ?? restaurant that is the way it use to be . It’s a refreshing for Irvine which hardly has any American restaurants any more . We loved the sandwiches and fires here . It’s self serve to it’s all good . Lot of sitting space which is more than 100 . They also have place outside and little green patch and bench for dogs and walk . Well cost if low so you do see not lot in service which is expectedVegetarian options: They have veggie patties for burger ?

Knollwood is a good place if you're looking for some tasty eats at a reasonable price. I've been there a few times, and the food is consistent, with large portions.You order and pick up your food at the counter, so a bit of a "fast food" vibe, but with a much better menu.

Food isn't very good anymore. And we have tried many different items. Cool place with good staff though. The one in Anaheim hills was much better. I only come here because it's close and I can play pool with my son. But even the pool table is shot out.
