Visited for the first time the other day and ordered an iced drink. It came out very fast and I left for my appointment. I started drinking and realized it was maybe a little cooler than room temperature and that there wasn't much ice (a handful of melted pieces). My guess is someone ordered the same thing as me, but never picked it up and they gave the pre-made drink to me. I'm pretty disappointed with that practice. I had a few sips and threw the rest away as it tasted dilluted. But I think it would have been good if it were made fresh, pricing wasn't bad, and the shop was cute. Likely won't go out of my way to come back, though.

I am addicted to this cafe/deli since it is next to my work and so ready+accessible. the staff is so friendly and welcoming that sometimes I just want to go to talk and say hi!! the vibe is adorably small, quaint, it's sometimes packed sometimes empty but the staff are always working hard on orders. Another huge attribution to my addiction is their matcha caramel coldbrew, I had to refrain myself from posting the entirety of my vast collection of photos of coffee orders on this review. I'm a SUCKERR for sweet coffee drinks. I've never ordered a new drink here and gotten disappointed! It tastes the same every single time too. the food here is easy to pick up, for lunch i'd usually go for a sausage dog or a bento box the french toast is also an item that can be rare, but when it's available it's a MUST for a sweet treat!

follow our instagram for more reviews! @coffeehonglics - - - 8/10 matcha sea salt cold brew couldn't really taste the sea salt in the foam or the matcha foam was really creamy coffee not too strong not too sweet and after mixing, drink was pretty good! would get it again 7/10 hojicha latte with almond milk hojicha flavor was nice and nutty drink was a bit powdery I think the almond milk made the texture a bit thick? Overall - 7.5/10 We enjoyed their drinks and the prices weren't too bad! We didn't try the food this time but they have onigiri that looks yummy. The inside is pretty small and only has 2 small tables so this is more like a to-go place and not really for studying and getting work done. Overall, we would come back to try their other drinks!

The drinks here are great I love the creative flavors and the food is a delicious quick bite. Service is always friendly and quick. There isn't many chairs to sit but there is one table outside you can use if you want to eat and drink there.

With all honesty here, have tried this place several times and I just can't like it. Their coffee is bad. They serve weak coffee with little to no flavor. If you like the syrups, the foams and colors then maybe it's for you. Their onigiri is decent but way too overpriced for what it is; rice. Almost 8$ for two small rice balls with a dip of crunchy veggies. The real CONS : parking and location size. Sometimes parking is scarce so it can be a challenge. Place has 2-3 tables and almost always taken. Expect to take your food and drinks to go. Service is meh. Nothing special here. Maybe stick to teas only?

I was excited to try this cafe because reviews said the matcha was really good and better than a place I felt has great matcha. I was expecting to find my new favorite matcha spot here, but was disappointed. Personally, the matcha tasted like melted vanilla ice cream. I couldn't taste any matcha and the vanilla sweetener they use overpowered it. Others have said this place makes their matcha smooth which also confuses me because it's really powdery. Your mouth is full of powder and grains every sip. I also got the tuna nigiri which I think was okay. They have a lot of good looking food items on their menu. Overall, the shop is really cute, small, and quaint. They have lots of specialty drinks I think people are drawn to. But I would say this is more of a dessert place for matcha rather than an everyday matcha spot.

A smiling Lagu Cafe crew, warm and inviting atmosphere, and a fragrant space greeted me when I walked in. The strawberry sakura latte is absolutely divine. The double shot of espresso is complimented by the sweeter strawberry flavors with hints of sakura. The milk foam on top ties it all together really well. I may have found my new go to cafe and drink!

1st time here. Excellent Onigiri. Mediocre experience with the front cashier. They missed a couple of items and we have to reorder and start the waiting que from the bottom to get our foods instead of being prioritized. Wasted about 20m of our precious lunch time. Order online and save yourself the hassle. Will update to better rating next time when we experience smoother process

Small & Quiet Japanese inspired Cafe! The Matcha Sea Salt Cold Brew was super yummy & strong! Lots of food options for those looking for Onigiri. The cashier was so sweet. Hidden away in a business center near the airport. Great to grab a drink quickly. Warning: only two tables inside...very small.

Just get the drinks here and only the drinks, the food portions here are for babies. I ordered the salmon onigiri set for $7.50 and inhaled the 2 index sized onigiri in 2 seconds. Rice is good, it's soft and warm but the salmon quality was less than of Mitsuwa's.

This small cafe is close to john wayne airport, located in a plaza. There is plenty of parking but shares with fedex so it can get packed. I have tried the lavender matcha and rose matcha lattes here and they are both amazing!! The drinks are less than $6 and a perfect pick me up for before class. I also tried to onigiri set and it wasn't bad. You can get 2 onigiris for $7.50. I got the chashu and the salmon onigiri. The chashu was delicious but the salmon was nothing special, especially since I have the ingredients at home to make it. The onigiri is pretty big tho so 2 definitely filled me up! It is best to eat them fresh because the seaweed is directly touching the rice. I will definitely be frequenting this spot to get matchas/coffees before class. There are only two small tables indoors and one small table outside. This spot is definitely a to go spot.

Lagu has some of the best iced lattes I have ever had. My favorites are the melon latte and the banana Macha latte.I recommend grabbing the bento box meal as well, it comes with chicken karaage, edamame, miso soup, and onigiri and the flavor options are epic.
