Really tasty japanese food. We ordered the katsudon that comes with a small udon and tempuradon. I highly recommend both dishes. Tempuradon comes with tempura string beans, pumpkin, fish, shrimp, and eggplant.

I am very surprised at all the bad ratings for this place! I've been coming here ever since I was a UCI student back in 2013 and I always get the chicken cutlet curry. It's pretty decent curry and I always find the chicken to be juicy. Sure it's not mind blowing but for the price it's really good! I can't say anything about the udon dishes because I literally only come here for the chicken curry. Wait times are never too bad and I've had a negative customer service experience. If you're looking for a cheap chicken curry place, this is the place to go!!

Nothing beat a hot beef udon noodles soup in a cold weather. Misasa located in Mitsuwa market and its food court has tons of different Japanese food for you to choose from: tonkatsu, ramen, udon, curry, etc. Coworkers and I usually go here for lunch due to the decent portion with affordable price and you can grab snacks, drinks, and/or dessert after as well. It's a win-win!

It's 7/21- at 6:35pm The girl who works in the cashier is one of the most impolite person I have ever encountered. I definitely won't return. The food was not good either. I ordered a Tempura Bowl , and the food was dry and had almost no taste.

This place is great if you're looking for quick Japanese meals. I'm a big udon fan and was excited to try a place in the Mitsuwa food court. LOCATION: located inside Mitsuwa in the back corner PRICES: all fairly decent between $7-11 per plate. I ordered the beef udon (came out to be about $8.50 after tax). MENU: Variety of different options with tempura, fish, curry rice, and udons UDON: 4/5, is not overly salty like other nearby places, but also does not have as many toppings (only green onions) on the udon. They put alot of beef on the order and it is enough to fill you up. It was great to satisfy my craving, but not something I think I would crave every week. I'm excited to come back and try the other items like the tempura bowl!

Holy cra**p I think I can cook better with my feet. Broken noodles. Overcooked Miso soup has no taste and hamburger patty is also crappy patty. Very disappointing

Sorry but food was bad! It was totally gross to eat and looked nothing like the food in display.

Great food, big servings. really great prices! But, they don't take the Amex card, so (for the inconvenience) minus 1-star. I hope things change by the next time I come by.

Very decent food, smooth ordering and servicing steps, overall satisfied with the experience. I ordered #1 Ten don tempura bowl and #65 udon noodle with fried veggie. Freshly made tempura, the batter was a little thick but crunchy and satisfying. The bowl had two shrimps, one fish, four pieces of veggies. Udon soup tasted on point also the cold dishes!

We've been going to them for years starting at the Mitsuwa in Costa Mesa. Always get their Chicken/pork katsu with curry and salad. Never disappoints!

Wow, this place being rated only three stars was almost enough to initially turn me off, but I'm glad I tried them anyway. Their tempura bowl is very reasonably priced, and I found the tempura to be decent. Not too oily, stayed nice and crispy even as takeout. Came with rice, soup, a piece of grilled salmon, a side dish of boiled carrots w/chicken, and a tiny salad. This is definitely my go-to place when I want tempura that's nearby and convenient. Only their hours make me sad - wish they were open more. My husband said the curry is acceptable for the price. Nothing spectacular or particularly mind-blowing, but a solid choice when you want a very-reasonably priced and pretty reasonably tasty meal.

im really surprised that Misasa only average 3 stars. For years now this has always been my go to spot for Japanese curry rice. Even before the Irvine Mitsuwa locatin opened we would go to Costa Mesa. For less than $9 you get a chicken or pork cutlet, a decent serving of rice and curry and a small side salad. Overall i find the meal to be very filling and just good comfort food. Even during the pandemic my wife and I still get takeout at least once a month. Everything is packaged separately and you just need to assemble all the ingredients together. Pretty much everything is already premade and they just need to fry up the Katsu so usually the wait is only about 10 minutes even when they are busy.

Consistently has good curry and always a favorite spot for the family! If you're in the shopping center you should 100% check out their pork katsu curry with salad.

I love eating here! My favorite dishes are the Pork Cutlet Curry and the Pork Katy's-don bowl. The staff are very friendly and they get me my order in 5 minutes or less.

Great tasting food from a food court. It is located inside of Mitsuwa. My favorite orders here are grilled salmon with soy butter, chicken katsu curry and yakinku beef. Salmon taste fresh. The chicken katsu is nice and crisp and crunchy. Not too oily for katsu. Their food is always seasoned just right! The price is fair and portions are decent. Customer service is good, young man behind the counter is always friendly and polite.
