Great place inside Mitsuwa market in Irvine for Japanese donuts after a Japanese lunch at Misasa one stall away. And donut is free with a cup of coffee order! Donuts are made of rice flour so more tasty & chewy.

Modo has perfected the mochi donut sough. No one has managed to make the dough as chewy yet crispy like Modo does. I love all their flavors because it's not extremely sweet where you get sick within bites but its enough to get a swift of sweetness that leaves you craving for more. If you're a dessert lover, you gotta try MoDo !!! This place is just so amazing. I have heard of the mochi donut trend but didn't think much of it. It wasn't until I tried this place, I now prefer mochi donuts than regular. This isn't my first time trying mochi donuts, so I was familiar with the taste.
