Regular here. They initially had the restaurant next to Zion market in Irvine but what a move. The new location is way better. Service is great. I come here every weekend cuz my 4 year daughter loves Jjangmyun. A bit sweet but fresh and very well cooked.
I find it interesting that the two newer Hmart's in Irvine houses a different restaurant for Jjamppong. This Hmart in Northpark offers Jjamppong by Paik's Noodle and the Hmart in Westpark offers Jjamppong by Kyodong Noodles. I'm a huge fan of the flavor and portion of the Jjamppong at Kyodong, but if I'm already at the Hmart in Northpark, I don't want to have to drive to the Westpark location just to get some. Located inside hmart food court, there's plenty of seating and other restaurants to choose from as well. The portions are shareable and they don't skimp out on the toppings, especially in the jjamppong. Ordered the jajangmyeon, jjamppong, and tangsuyuk. Everything was mid but the broth was perfect for the weather. I wish they had the combo like the other location on Alton pkwy and gave more sauce for the tangsuyuk. Overall left satisfied.
