Found this place while in OC. It was highly rated so figured why not, give it a try.. I was disappointed in a way. It was just okay in my experience. My egg benedict was somewhat burnt not sure if that is noticed from the picture, but the hash browns were amazing!! I replaced the meat with avocado. I have had better for sure. the burrito was alright, it was too heavy from what my fiancé said not sure if I would recommend it. Service was outstanding though, not sure about who took our order but he was really nice and knowledgeable.

Poached kitchen is now poached customer, and I feel cooked. After looking at the incredible pictures and rave reviews, I was excited to visit this new breakfast place in Irvine. I digress, thinking back to my childhood and visiting Cocos or Dennys in the morning with my family. How different things have evolved? Back then you were greeted with your name, now you stand in line and are given number. Back then, the waitress spent time getting to know you, greet you, and make you feel valued, and cook the food just how you like it. Now, you stand in line and order at the register. This new generation has depersonalized breakfast. Now you pay a tip for a person who carries your meal a whopping twenty feet to set it down in front of you. A few years from now, breakfast will be out of a vending machine. The portions were small. The taste was okay at best. You had to ask for everything, including water, napkins, ice in the water, and to go boxes. Shuffle the people in and shuffle them out. The less the staff says to you the better. Speed and money. Worst part of this whole experience is the cost. Everything is $14 or $15 dollars. If you want avocado, it's an extra $2.00. This is Stacks on Steroids. Hah, Snooze is so much better.

Tl;dr: Okay pick if you're already in the neighborhood, but not worth a drive out from Disneyland. We were looking for a great breakfast spot and the reviews for this place got us to drive out from the Disneyland area for brunch on a weekday. You order and pay at the cashier and find a table if you can. The only open tables were reserved when we arrived inside (kinda weird as there were signs saying not to reserve tables and order first,) so on a pretty warm day we had to sit outside. Not intolerable, just not the nicest when it's already warm out and you just ordered all hot food and drinks. I probably would have asked for my coffee iced instead and gone for a salad. There's only two items on the kids menu and no substitions, so we ended up ordering an adult plate and side for my child. French toast comes with microgreens on it. Interesting, but nothing special. My spouse put it this way, "I like plain Jane, but this is too plain even for me." The scrambled eggs aren't seasoned but there's no seasonings at your table. Three separate people to bring things to your table, but... no condiments? Was I supposed to get them myself? I can, no problem, but it's just a confusing model. My benedict eggs did not run at all, which is sort of the point of a benedict, no? The hash browns are soft like mashed potato inside and perfectly crunchy outside. I liked them, my spouse did not. Just a preference thing. Gave our order to a less than enthusiastic cashier, but received our water, drinks, and plates from polite and quick other staff. I noticed no one tipped at their tables, which is also confusing. We tip, so we tipped at the beginning, but I'm sure not everyone does, which, for a place where you leave your dishes at the table, should be expected. Before we left to come down here I asked my spouse if we should just go to Coco's or Roscoe's since it was closer. After my meal I wish I'd picked Roscoe's. Oh well, live and learn.

Super yummy brunch spot! Came on a Wednesday afternoon and there were a good amount of people but we didn't have to wait to order or for a table. We got the churro waffle and house benedict and both were pretty good. The churro waffle is perfect for those who like a sweet breakfast and the house benedict was perfectly cooked with a delicious hollandaise sauce.

Found this place through Yelp and I loved it! There was a wait Sat. morning but the line moved by quickly. The staff were great & I appreciate that they were not understaffed. I got the baked apple cakes and chilaquiles rojos. Both were so good. Baked apple cakes: These were exquisite! It comes with 3 and they were beautifully presented. It was also not too sweet which I really liked. They were perfect. Chilaquiles rojos: The staff recommended this dish and these were flavorful, just right, not spicy very mild, but delicious! There's plenty of parking in front. When you get inside it's the type of restaurant where you pay first to receive a number and you find a seat so there isn't one wait staff on your table.

If you're a **basic brunch girlie** like me, this is def the place for some good Eggs Benedict. Well poached egg with a perfect runny yolk, hollandaise trending a bit on the lighter side, topped off with a soft english muffin with still a bit of a toasty top. The short rib version had a supple amount of meat with well-spiced but low-heat flavor, and they even give you some tasty homemade ketchup on the side for the hash browns. Great for the tummy and great for the gram!

This is one of Irvine's top breakfast locations!! The restaurant is situated in a shopping center. Parking is adequate, if not exceptional. When we arrived, there was already a large line out the door, but we decided to tough it out because we didn't have any plans for the rest of the day. We waited outside before entering and ordering our food at the counter. Then we picked a table and waited for our delicious food to arrive. The food arrived quickly and the service was outstanding. But there's the cuisine, which is incredible. Breakfast burritos, fries, and churro waffles are all delicious options. Dogs are also welcome. I will undoubtedly return!

Good breakfast, but underwhelming from all the raving reviews. Cashier was quick to dismiss us due to a long line. So service felt rushed and uncared for. If you're in Irvine and nearby it'll be a good place to grab breakfast at least one. Thanks!

This place is one of the best breakfast restaurants in Irvine!! The staff was friendly and the food arrived in a matter of minutes. But the food. Is. Amazing. I recommend the eggs Benedict and salmon toast. The orange juice was also 100% fresh and was a great combination with the food! Will definitely be coming back soon!

I came here to try craving some breakfast foods! This restaurant is tucked away in a corner of a plaza. I got the salmon Benedict and it was a little bit underwhelming. They had sauerkraut which gave it a bit of different taste than I'm used to and I didn't really enjoy it. I liked the hashbrown though, very crispy on the outside. The service was okay, the employees didn't really check up on us too much, and it was a little hard to flag down a server though at times.

An unmemorable dining experience. Our party of four had four different dishes and agreed that everything we had was not bad, but not worthy of ordering again. Our dishes were... Chilaquiles verde Huevos rancheros French toast with rhubarb Chicken cobb salad Food aside, the service at the counter was not friendly.

OMG, how come no one told me about this place? Why is it so good? Well, at least the things we ate. The restaurant is located in a shopping strip mall. Parking is okay, not the greatest, but doable. When we got there, we already noticed a long line out the door but decided to tough it out since we didn't have plans for the rest of the day. We waited outside and then when we entered indoors, we order our food at the counter. Then we found a table where we waited for our yummy food to arrive. The chilaquiles verde was absolutely amazing. It had a good degree of spice but not too spicy. All the flavors went well together and we literally could have licked the plate clean. I prefer verde to rojo when it comes to chilaquiles...and I will definitely be ordering this again soon. I'm not much of a waffle person, but I had a quarter of the classic waffles and it was fairly decent. The hashbrowns were like creamy mashed potatoes with the outside made crispy. I could have eaten this as a meal itself. The bacon was on point and legit. I love my bacon crispy too. I was debating on whether or not I wanted coffee or orange juice. I opted for the coffee instead. The coffee was a bit bitter for my own taste but regardless, I still drank it because I needed to have caffeine onboard.

"Everyone loves brunch. OBVIOUSLY, but you super-love brunch. You are so big into brunch that your middle name should be "Brunch"... Ryan North My middle name can be "Brunch." Mainly because I'm a fan of morning drinking, but also I love egg dishes done well. I wasn't expecting to be wowed at Poached. You order at the counter, they bring you the order. I expected good. I got great. I asked the counter person to help me decide between the Huevos Rancheros and the Chilaquiles. She recommended the green Chilaquiles. (Chilaquiles Verde (v)(gf) 2 eggs any style | crispy tortilla chips | salsa verde | queso fresco | pickled onions | creamy cilantro sauce | cilantro | radish | side of black beans | cotija) They were amazing. They offer Mimosas and "Manmosas" as well as craft beers. Service at counter and at the table was excellent. The restaurant was very well staffed and ran very well. I'm stingy with 5 stars. Poached delivered.

If I could only rate one dish from their menu, I would definitely give them a 5-star. I am referring to their churro waffle. It is amazing. I would not usually order waffle when going to brunch places, but this one... I can't emphasize how good it tastes. Drizzled with their special sauce and topped off with their housemade butter. It is insane. I tried their breakfast burrito and it was just aight. If you are looking for a bomb as a breakfast burrito. *cough* nates korner *cough* is the way to go. Their chicken and waffle is just alright, the dish itself is good, but personally, it is not for me, would rather opt for a more unique dish. Had the chance to try the short rib benedict. My honest opinion of it is that it is not my favorite, the sauce overpowers with the taste of tobasco, ruining the flavor profile. I always imagined the short rib benedict to come with a thick slice of short rib below the poached egg. However, the side of hash it comes with is pretty good.
