I have ordered takeouts and dined in many many times at this restaurant. We had takeout from here almost once a week during Covid, but I won’t come back again. The Sulongtang I had today tasted/smelled sour and weird. I know it’s weird because i have ordered it before and they weren’t like this. The meat tasted okay, so I dont know if the broth had gone bad. No wonder I had to run to the bathroom after having it.And the kimchi tasted so soggy and bland. Seoul Haus used to have kimchi that was so good that I would ask for more.Their Chino Hills location’s food has much better quality, or at least fresh! But it’s far from us, so now we need to find another go-to Korean restaurant nearby.

Randomly stumbled across this Korean restaurant when searching Korean food in Irvine. To my surprise the food and service are really good. It is not loud and a good place to eat with friends and family. We ordered the cold noodle, it is well balanced, with egg and beef slices. The noodle is chewy and I like the texture of it. It also comes with banchan such as fish cake, cabbage, kimchi, and more. We also try the ox tail soup, it is not salty but we have option to add salt into it to make it more salty. But it has huge bone flavor to it which I really like. Parking maybe a little difficult during lunch hours since the parking spots in front of the restaurant is limited, but there's more parking at the back.Server is friendly, although place is small, but it seems like a hearty place to eat. Price is affordable, will come back again!Parking: Sometimes parking in front is limited but there’s back parking

The taste is decent, but the service is mediocre. When I ordered additional rice, he brought me old rice from the to go box and pointed out why I ordered additional rice instead of ordering it all at once. I used to go there often after shopping at Ultari Mall, but I won't go there again.

This day visit restaurant offers reasonably priced dishes with decent flavors. The spice and saltiness are well-balanced, and the rib pot stands out, even though it can be a bit challenging to bite into at times. A great choice for the town! Don’t really recommend the soy milk noodle, it’s pretty plain.

My favorite spot for sul long tang and mandu guk. I love their garlic sul long tang especially, so aromatic! This is a quaint hole in the wall that's frequently visited by the lovely ahjummas and ahjussis who's been in Irvine for a while. I see a lot of people also ordering their combos (cheaper during lunch but only by $1-3 dollars). The usual combo is bulgogi/spicy stir fried pork with sul long tan/ naengmyeon. The ahjummas here are way nicer than the ones at Yigah and will happily refill your banchans. The only downside is that I think their banchans are quite lack luster. If they had a better spread or better quality because quantity is lacking, I'd bump this place up to a 5.

Little hole in the wall, like a little mom/pop shop. This place seems to specialize in soups since they had a lot of those on their menuThey don't have the grills do grill your own meat, like you can still get meat but they grill it in the kitchenTheir cold noodle soup was super good and refreshing, definitely devoured everythingHonestly, super cute little restaurant, simple menu with delicious food. You can't go wrong!I don't have much to say about the service, for my personal taste I like it. I know some people like getting checked on often.. But I like how they bring you your food and then leave you alone lol

First time trying this restaurant. Bulgogi is pretty good but the kimchi they serve has gone bad, indicating poor hygiene and awful back kitchen environment. How do I know? The sourness is not the typical acidic and alcoholic sourness as a result of fermentation, it's the kind of stale and foul sourness coming from a compost trashcan. I've had plenty of kimchi in different Chinese and Korean restaurants, none taste like what I had today. Can't imagine how much bacteria I've swallowed when chewing that junk. I threw it away with the yucky taste in my mouth, that was a bummer. The bibim bucknoodle was also very mediocre.

Seoul Haus is a local favorite of my fiancée and I, and is a solid Korean comfort food location in the Irvine area. We ordered a Garlic Sul Lung Tang and Yuk Gae Jang with Noodles. Both are dishes we are familiar with and have ordered before here and at other restaurants. We quickly got our banchan, and the selection was great and tasted amazing. The servers were good and quick about refilling our banchan as well. When my fiancée got her Sul Lung Tang, the noodles were in a huge block, which looked a bit unappetizing and unusual, since we have never seen that at this establishment before. Overall, the taste of the Sul Lung Tang was good and the noodles did separate, but it was a bit unexpected. For myself, I have had the Yuk Gae Jang here before, but not with the noodles. I was looking forward to this dish since it is one of my favorites, but was disappointed. The broth tasted off, it was heavy, but had a weird flavor to it that was not characteristic of Yuk Gae Jang. The noodles were good, but there was too much. Every spoon was filled with noodles and it seemed to dilute the dish. In addition, I know shredded beef is a key part of this dish, and it seems like more noodles were provided in lieu of shredded beef. I probably will not get this dish again, just because the taste was offputting and I could barely even eat half of it.Overall, we were a bit disappointed by our experience this time compared to other times. The banchan and service was great, but the food was below average. The Sul Lung Tang was good, but the Yuk Gae Jang left a lot to be desired. I know this place can do better based on my experience here and hope this is just a one off situation.

Finally found a su yuk (soo yuk) spot in Irvine! It came with beef slices, tendons, and cartilages. We ordered this for 2 people, but it can definitely feed 3. We've only had su yuk a handful of times, but this is the first time we've had it served with less broth. We've only gotten it in more of a soup style. Regardless, the flavors were still good - beef was tender and tendons were well cooked, not tough like it usually is sometimes. I do prefer if it had more broth in a soup style, so will have to keep searching for a su yuk place in OC. Side dishes included various kimchi dishes and fish cake. The su yuk came with sauce, similar to the one you get for galbi tang and a yellow horseradish sauce! Perfect to go with the meats. Barley tea is also complimentary and there is a mixture of purple/white rice as an option. That's how you know it's authentic!
