Excellent customer service!!! ButMust be under new ownership... definitely not the same .. fyi .the menu has changed a lot and they no longer have the Grinder!!! the fountain drinks are coke products......so disappointed...the main reason I drive so far here is for the grinder and natural fountain drinks...but they took it all away ?

My mom and I stopped in on our way to the theater. The outdoor seating was nice. The gentleman at the counter (I neglected to get his name) was so pleasant and helpful, as it was our first time there, and recommended downloading the app for a nice savings! The food came out so quickly and was delicious. Portion size was decent for price. My mom’s baked cod was pretty yummy, very light breading. My ahi was ok, not amazing, but the other items - slaw, pickled red onions, sweet potatoes, etc… were all amazing. Overall we were both very satisfied s with the food, service, and presentation.

Come here for lobster roll and fish taco, no regrets at all. Lobster roll is fresh and delicious with fries included. Fish taco is well balanced with fresh fish meat. Nice staff, good location inside UCI.

I was so disappointed when I drove 4 hours to Laguna Beach, only to find out Slapfish was no longer there. It was okay though because I drove to this location in Irvine. However, the food is not the same. I’ve never had such an awful experience at Slapfish before. I learned they changed their menu. My favorite Lobster Grilled Cheese Sandwich was NOWHERE near as good as it used to be, barely anything on the bread. Before the bread was bursting with cheese and filling. Also, the fries were so heavily salted I couldn’t eat them. RIP Slapfish, I’ll miss what you once were ?

I used to come here regularly and get burritos. I would ask to upgrade the Epic shrimp burrito for salmon as I have a shellfish allergy and they would do so for the difference in price stated on the menu between the shrimp and salmon. Recently they changed their menus to television screens and claimed they updated their menu. I came in asking for the same deal as before where I would gladly pay the extra money difference between the two proteins ($3) instead they told me to pay for a whole new side of salmon ($9) so they could make a substitution making it a 25$ burrito from $17 on the menu. I asked to speak to someone and see if they would honor the old deal, a short angry looking woman stuck her head out of the kitchen and asked if it was from before they switched their menu to the television screens. I said yes she said well that's the deal now even tho the prices if their items haven't changed just the format which they display their menu. They refused to accommodate for less than that so I left. The level of inflexibility and insensitivity to allergies is truly astonishing. I will not be patronizing them again.

Their lobster roll is a bit chewy. Lobster grinder would be a better choice.

Very casual dining, with friendly staff and outstandingly delicious food. I had the crispy shrimp bowl, with a side of fried cauliflower, and everything was fresh and scrumptious!

Great prices and delicious, fresh food, what more could you want? I go usually for their special days though where select food menu's are discounted. I am sure everything is good. However, seafood will be pricey according to market prices, so they have to go with that. I live in HB and miss Slapfish, so I have to drive to Irvine to get my cravings across UCI campus. My food cravings here are their Lobster Taquitos, Chips and Salsa and Street Taco...YUMM! Meanwhile, I go peruse the Sanrio, Minisoo and other retail stores nearby or watch a flick next door. Definitely come by here. Irvine has become too discriminatory with paying customers, but Slapfish hasn't participated; if customers have CASH or credit, they WILL take both. Thankfully not all students require a credit card or card to buy food or be served. Thanks Slapfish!

We went to this spot for lunch and it was simply okay. The fried fish taco was top-notch. However, fish & chips had fries with minimal texture or flavor. Tasted like basic frozen fries with Old Bay. We also tried the lobster taquitos... These were just NOT good. Furthermore, it left a horrible fishy taste in your mouth that was overpowering. Overall, get the fish, hold the chips.

They used to put normal fish like cod into their meals, but nowadays it's been replaced by cheaper, tasteless stuff. To counter this loss of flavor, they use fat and sugar. The breaded fish is just a mouthful of greasy bread, with no trace of real fish flavor in it - after a few bites it's just unbearable to eat. A fast food interpretation of seafood is a pretty bad idea, anyway, since fish is naturally an expensive ingredient and thus the only way to make it cheap is to get the worst there is.

I love coming here for a quick lunch with my Nana. Our favorite thing to get is the lobster roll or the lobster grinder roll, both equally as good as the fries also are my favorite I absolutely love the seasoning! The service is very good and quick, the ambience is also very casual so it's nice for a casual lunch spot.
