I rarely write reviews on anything but this place is an exception. My work crew and I visited this establishment for lunch and as construction workers we aren't really picky with food but this place has definitely the worst food we've tried. Super dry and old meat on tacos, bad chilaquiles and surprisingly higher in price than most places. If you're looking for quality and authentic Mexican food I recommend going elsewhere.

We dropped in to grab a few tacos to check it out and were surprised to find they were really solid. The service was also choice with the owner always going out of their way to make sure you have what you need.They have a solid condiments bar with fresh salsas, grilled jalapeños and more. We tried the pollo and pastor tacos, all great. Also, happy hour between 3p~6p.We added this to our list of taco spots. (If you know Irvine, decent tacos around here are pretty limited.)

Very good chicken taco overall. The shell was ok and the chicken is in cubes. I prefer shredded chicken. The rice was also very good as was the little side salad. It is clean and service was excellent.

Good Mexican food! I ordered the carne asada omelette & it was delicious!! They had the carrot salsa onions, the whole enchilada!! Come over here only if you like Mexican food, they even have pozole on the weekends. I don't know why this place has bad reviews maybe just some haters but anyway come here.

These tamales are dry as hell worst I have ever had. Do yourself a favor don't order these.

I'm not sure why the reviews are so terrible. We ordered the tamales, nachos, guac, flan, and horchata. The food was not exceptional but for the price it's pretty good. They have a salsa bar and the guac was very fresh. I think the rice that came with the tamales was very good. Would come back.

This place is the true definition of abysmal, lets face it, I have long given up on slappin' Mexican food in Irvine, but I simply wanted something to fill my gullet while we waited for a certain "eatery" and it's ginourmous cult following and lines. Why is that? Maybe that other place is trying and making headway. This place? Not even a bronx cheer of effort, the brick and mortar of this place is ready to crumble... Maybe a tax shelter? There has to be a reason why someone wakes up and opens the locks on this place. It surely isn't food and quality / customer service. Really giving places like this a shot, but oh the pain and suffering they lay on the simple casual customer looking for a bite... Why do we do this to ourselves?

I made a 2nd attempt at this place about 7 years after the 1st. Still horrible. The chips were rubbery and stale. The chicken taquitos were dry and flavorless. The table I sat at wobbled worse then a politician. How is this place still in business?
The food was horrible and super dry. Service was bad I asked to recook the tacos but it came out even worse. Your able to tell the food that it was expired and very old.

People don't come to Irvine for Mexican food. This place is part of the reason. It seems legit when you walk in. Mexican music playing. Salsa bar. Barrel of horchata. Chips and hard taco shells are rubbery and taste store bought. Food is bland. Salsa is watery. Empty for a reason.
