It's hard to say that they have good customer service when the manager (Francis) is rude and disrespectful to customers.I forget to ask for a salsa and go to the cashier to ask for one. The manager tells the cashier that I have to wait for the salsa until the rest of the orders in front of me are fulfilled. After 7 mins I tell the cashier that my tacos are getting cold and she tries to follow up but the manager just tells her "sorry I have all these orders before" and to make things worse - he tells the cashier I should have ordered it when I place my order.Clearly the manager is overwhelmed and can't handle the expectations required of his position. I'm making a formal complaint about this - what a horrible first impression for a restaurant to give a new visitor like myself.Don't give your money to this location, plenty of other Mexican food places that will be happy to serve you. Oh, and they'll have the salsa bar thing down much better than this place.
The noodles are ?... delicious from beginning to end. If you can't handle the spice, order it on the side... sucks because flavor of spice is good, but to hot for me
I had the taco sampler, and it was delicious. It's been a while since I've eaten off the truck and it was as good as I remembered. Years ago I won a t shirt for eating a bowl of spicy chili. I've been wearing it during The Great Food Truck Race. I hope they win it all this Sunday. The restaurant is cool looking, and the employees are very nice. I plan on making this a regular stop when I get hungry.
Someone else described TLT as "modern Mexican" and I think that's pretty accurate. That said, while TLT does modern Mexican well, I was hoping for something more authentic-feeling from a place born from a food truck. I had the Cali burrito with steak, as recommended, and I found the rice a little lime-heavy, and the pico de gallo a little too sweet, but overall still enjoyable. The carne asada was good, and the tortilla was nice and strong.
The food was excellent! Everything we had had a really nice mix of flavors. Highlights were Vegas tacos and sides of brussel sprouts and artichokes. My daughter said it's her new favorite place to eat.
Excellent food, best place we ate during our 2 day stay. Had the pork belly noodles***, loaded ginger fries**, and a steak California burrito.
OVERPRICED. Went there recently for lunch with a friend. I got the cheese enchilada she got some kind of bowl. The cost for 2 orders and 1 drink was $32--WAY too much for what we got. And they wanted a tip! NO. But its Spectrum--everything is overpriced!
Got CaliBowl before a movie and it hit the spot on a warm & sunny day. It's basically a fusion of my fav Latin & Asian flavors all in on bowl (lol). The ahi tastes fresh. I didn't think all of the flavors would work together, but it did and my tastebuds were doing a happy dance! Can't wait to try their other items soon.
This place has become one of my favorite places to grab a bite at Irvine Spectrum and my go to item is the TLT Nacho with pork belly. I typically like to order my food to go so all the nacho toppings are packaged separately to prevent the cheese sauce from drenching to the bottom and to prevent the chips from getting too soggy. My second favorite thing to order here is the Quesadilla. It's stuffed stuffed with so much yummy goodness that one bite will put a smile on your face!
My hubby and I were happy to find out that this place was so close by, especially after we binge watched the Great Food Truck Race during the Pandemic. It was even better to find out that the food is GOOD and they had a bunch of GF options. That means a lot to me since I need to be GF. So far we just tried a bunch of their different Tacos and the Brussels Sprouts. We will definitely be back to try more. Oh and one last thing, their hot sauce is on point. We are so excited to have another great dining option close by!
Good ServiceTacos good sizeGreat priceLoved Beef taco!
Hidden little gem tucked away inside the Irvine Spectrum. I got the Gimmi Chimi Noodles w/ Braised Short Rib beef and the Nachos w/ chicken. Both entrees hit the spot with tons of flavorful meat! Chicken was well seasoned and Braised beef had meat/fat moisture
Your food is Fantastic, I will definitely come back again
This place never disappoints. Food is full of flavor. Had the chicken tinga quesadilla and steak nachos. Yum!!!
This place is my favorite mexican fusion restaurant ever. Everything on the menu is crafted with such flavor and finesse. Even the limeade is amazing! I've yet to try anything from this place that i haven't liked but my go-to is the quesadilla bowl and the brussel sprouts!
