Has anyone noticed that Valerio's is adding a "Custom Item" charge? I noticed they added a .50 charge on my receipt...but I only bought items from the shelf...Does anyone know what this charge is for?

They always have hot pandesal and freshly baked bread. Everyday. The ambiance and the service is also good. 5star to irvine valerios team

Very rude cashier.. I was literally standing in front of her to place and order and she took the ladies order behind me! I will never go to this establishment again and the pandesal was old and hard! Never again

I think this place is likely better than 3-stars given the appearance of their goods but I chose the wrong item for my palate. BUKO PIE: -- big thick sliced/slivers of wet coconut did not work for me (shredded drier form is my jam...or moist, but not wet) -- I believe that in Filipino culture they have a baked version coconut pie that is more in my wheelhouse -- the crust is almost soggy and very moist -- it should be consumed cool out of the fridge...I let it come to room temp and that was a big mistake...a little better when I re-chilled it -- very sweet towards HIGH sweet RATING = B Next time I will look for the flan or something else and inquire more about the details or Google it. We were next door at Jollibee's and I thought some pie would go well with the fried chicken.

I do not think there is enough effort out forth checking the freshness of the products they sell. It is often stale and border line moldy. By the time you get home, to enjoy to your food, you find there's mold in your bread.

They have the best Pinoy Pandesal. They have helpful staff too. The location is convenient, you can grab Pinoy groceries and your favorite Pinoy pastries.

I go to this bakery often and get their adobo pandesal. It's baked not steamed and it's so filling, delicious and no other can make them the way this bakery makes them. The American Cheese Roll is similar to Porto's another favorite.

The WORST Valerio’s. We ordered the cheese pimiento and wow none of the breads had any spread. Should have just called it Bread featuring a sprinkle of pimiento.

Walked by because I was trying to go to the market and was trapped on my way in. Regained focus and continued to shop for what I came for- veggies. Paid for said veggies then got trapped again walking out and spend $15 on ube pandesal and puto galapong. Both pretty good. Not like how a Filipina grandma would make but Valerio's is close enough to Lola's that it'll do when the craving strikes.
