Food was good... fried rice but was a little pricey.Stopped in on a Monday so near the end of their week- meaning they were sold out of most everything considering they prep everything at the start of the week. After the third dish I asked for was out I asked what they did have, which was 2 mains and 1 appetizer... I would have preferred they led with that when I approached the counter vs the guessing game. I'd definitely stop back in but only at the start of their week.

Under new management, definitely for the worse. The coffee was very bad. They serve cheap coffee, so it's very lightly roasted and sometimes contains quakers (immature beans) that cause a very unpleasant, bitter taste in coffee. Lots of places serve cheap coffee and usually I just add more milk to cover up the bad taste, but this place doesn't believe in milk, so that was not an option. I tried their oat milk, but that did not work. The coffee really did taste bad, I asked for a refund, but they wouldn't so I just gave the coffee back and left. If it would make you feel good to support a vegan place even though the quality is really bad, then this is the place for you, but if you're looking for a decent cup of coffee, I'd stay away. It's a shame because this place used to be really good.

Vegetarian options: Two of us (vegans) shared Asada Fries, Mexican Salad, and Ube Cheesecake. What a gastronomic delight! I highly, definitely recommend this restaurant.

Short staffing ruined the experience unfortunately. Shouldn't ever serve food before the drinks. Waiting 20 minutes for an iced coffee after being served a breakfast burrito and toast really is unacceptable.

As a vegan, it's always hard to find really good plant-based food in small towns.
Kalis Garden Cafe, here in Julian, is delicious!
We split the Skillet Scramble and the avocado toast, which was well portioned and had enough to take home.
The chai latte and the decaf americana were excellent!
Thank you so much for establishing your business in a place were plant-based eating is hard to come by.

Welcoming downtown location with sunny patio, very friendly staff and delicious plant-based goodness. I had a tasty and beautiful breakfast skillet. Highly recommend!
I got the tofu yakisoba and mushroom white sauce pasta and it was amazing. The service was great and the staff were all very nice. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice cozy place to eat at with vegan options.

exceptional food and service! Rob is amazing it's my first time coming here and I will recommend this place to everyone! Vibes are so good and I love that they have events happening here. I am riding my bike across the country otherwise I'd stay longer to try them whole menu and go to the kirtan they're hosting. Thank you Rob! Bless this place! Jai Ma

AMAZING food and service! The mushroom yakisoba was one of the best yakisobas I've ever had and I spend 2 years in Japan. My wife and daughter got the tofu fried rice and Kung pow and were equally impressed. Great ambience and welcoming staff!
