It's a very charming restaurant and we were super lucky to get a Wednesday evening 5:30 PM reservation a mere 5 hours in advance. Our dinner experience was amazing! The food came out hot, the flavors and sauces were outstanding, and the service was fantastic. We ordered the Lobster Wontons appetizer, White Shrimp Fresh Sea Scallops & ¼ Maine Lobster Tail with Fettucine entree, and the Oregon Petrale Sole daily fish special. The soup of the day was Cauliflower soup. The lobster wonton appetizer came with 3 wontons. The ginger, shiitake mushrooms, and other seasonings paired very well with the lobster. The Chinese mustard and red chili dipping sauce served on the side was HOT and we felt the wontons had plenty enough flavor without the need to add any hot sauce. Rating: 8 I wasn't expecting to like the cauliflower soup but it was really really good! I'm not a huge fan of cauliflower or of soup in general, but the cauliflower flavor had a perfect subtleness and was accented with a touch of cumin seasoning. Rating: 8 My wife had the Oregon Petrale Sole. She described it as very flavorful (blend of lemon, garlic, and mushroom flavors and a light panko coating) and cooked to perfection. Rating: 10 I ordered the Shrimp, Scallop, Lobster Tail with Fettucine. OMG! Per the menu: "sautéed w/ red bell peppers, fresh basil, tomatoes, mushrooms and lemon garlic butter; cheese & onion." The sauce was sooooo amazing and perfectly compliment the seafood. I couldn't stop raving about the flavor even after arriving back at the hotel room. Rating: 10+ Our server was John and we thoroughly enjoyed the additional side conversations with him throughout our seating. (Ask him if he's ever tried moose.)

One of our favorite restaurants. I don't typically leave reviews but I can't help myself. We usually dine in but with two toddlers and the restaurants overall atmosphere, we choose not to subject the patrons to that lol. So we placed a to go order for one of my favorite dishes on the planet. I love scallops and have had them prepared so many different ways. The pepper seared sea scallops w/ smoked pork belly is phenomenal. Truly last dish worthy. Best take on scallops that i have ever had. One of those dishes that you just want to savor the taste of. If your a scallop fan, order this dish and you will be happy you did. Well done chef.

It was our first time visiting the restaurant. We were a party of two. We had reservations at 6:00. The restaurant was cold for the first 45 minutes of our visit.A table of three walked in after us but was waited on before us by a different waitress.Our waitress was kind and knowledgeable.The food was different enough to make it interesting and we enjoyed everything we tried.I would never classify the restaurant as intimate or romantic. The acoustics and the lighting did not lean toward that at all.

For a high end, rustic & quiet place that simultaneously delivers a sense of class, Soule Domain disappointed in the ultimate - the food. While it wasn't bad per se, it wasn't great for the expectation the place created. The carrot giner soup was on point, but my Scallops with Champagne & Mango Sauce fell short (to be fair, the waiter tried subtly to dissuade me and recommended the Scallops with Shrimp & Lobster instead). The sauce was all wrong for the scallops, and the latter didn't taste that fresh (atmospheric rivers causing supply chain disruptions perhaps?) The duck was pretty good, though I didn't really taste the Grand Marnier. The overall impression was that this chef is trying to get there but hasn't arrived.

My husband and I have been to Soule Domain a few times over the years and it never disappoints!! We went on Valentine's Day last week and as always, it was delicious. The food presentation is always lovely. We were seated right in front of the fireplace so it was very romantic ....and the light snow falling outside the nearby window added to the warm romantic ambiance! It's a must if you're in the Northlake Tahoe and you are in the mood for 5 Star food in a romantic venue. RESERVATIONS ARE A MUST as this restaurant books up quickly!! And, our server Jesse was delightful, professional and attentive!!
