This is by far one of my all time favorite restaurants. The burger here is really something special. The patty is always perfectly juicy and has a great fresh beef flavor, and that’s coming from someone who grew up around cattle ranches in Texas. I also really like the steamers combo pizza, in fact, I usually order both lol

Overall Our family has a tradition when we are on vacation to get pizzas from a few different local pizza parlors and doing a taste test. Tonight, we tried Steamers. Steamers was solid, but, unfortunately, didn't win the taste test. The Good The combo pizza had a good combo of cheese to toppings. Also, they had black olives on the pizza, which my wife loved. The pepperoni was solid. The meat was flavorful. The cheese pizza had good mix of cheese and one of our party really loved the tangyness of the sauce. The staff was very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Always good to have a team that creates a nice atmosphere. Definitely would be taken care of if you dined in. The Bad The rest of the group didn't like the sauce. It had a strong Italian seasoning flavor. Also, the distribution of sauce was inconsistent. Some slices had too much sauce and others barely any. The crust was too thin. Would have been nice to have a little more thickness to it. In Conclusion Steamers is a solid pizza. Not a bad choice and we wouldn't mind giving them another chance down the road. If you are looking for a nice place with decent pizza, give them a try.

So stoked to have a steamers pie with the family tonight as we come back to the lake for the holidays. Not only great pizza but a big part of Tahoe history right here in this joint!

I wish I could leave a 0. I have never had such horrific service in my entire life. You know that feeling in elementary school when a teacher calls on you and you weren't expecting it, and then was annoyed you couldn't answer immediately so called on the smart kid and made you feel like s**** That's what talking to Greg (owner/ manager/ phone- answerer/ dickwad) was like, except there was no smart kid for him to turn to so he had to just deal with my stupid a*** As soon as he picked up the phone I immediately felt like I was inconveniencing him by trying to order food by which he would get my money. How dare I try to give him business. He was clearly SO swamped that he could not deign to use any semblance of politeness or even normal conversational skills. I started ordering but was going too slow for him, so he interrupted me and said he was busy and would like to put me on hold while I figured it out. I tried ordering faster and he couldn't hear me so I had to slow down and speak more loudly. When I spoke louder and faster he was annoyed he couldn't get a word in and would yell over me to let me know he was out of x, y, z. I got to order dinner for 10 people, so just imagine how fun the rest of the conversation was. Let's just say I hung up wanting to cry out of frustration being stared at by my family with mouths agape. Some take-aways: - He missed two items I ordered, and one of the salads was wrong. One family member just didn't get dinner because hell no was anyone going to give more service to this restaurant. - The chicken was so dry it was inedible. - ??? The clam chowder came in a Venti Peet's coffee cup??? To keep it as balanced as this shop deserves, the positives were that the pizza was okay. Nothing to write home about, but it was good. Also, the food was ready quickly. The bar was EMPTY when I walked in-- I assumed it would be swarming with people with phones ringing off the hook. He received one phone call during the 10ish minutes we were in the bar and showed the exact the same rudeness to that poor person too. I'll give it to the manager though-- at the end as I was signing the receipt he asked me to "tip the cooks" because he knew DAMN well he did not deserve any extra patronage for the s*** job he did dealing with his customers. Don't go there. It is not worth the emotional turmoil, and though the pizza was fine there are plenty of other pizza places in Tahoe that will not make you want to pull out your hair while crying in a fetal position wondering why you're not a smarter or better person. PS- I have never left a bad review on Yelp before. I am writing about a week after we ate there, and I am still traumatized, so thought I should help any future patrons avoid the hell that is this restaurant.

aweful experience with the owner! So nasty so unappreciative of his customers! Was super disrespectful . After spending $200 you would think he would be kinder to his patrons! Will never visit again nor would I recommend it to my friends and family!!

Amazing food and staff! The buffalo wings were the best I've ever tried and the pizza had a soft yet crispy crust. The staff were very friendly. Clean and great environment.
