We recently ate at this restaurant 3 times fir lunch on a trip to Kings Beach. Great homemade Mexican food. We had shredded beef tacos, lengua, cabeza, pork tamales and pozole. The food was delicious and warmed our souls.

No flavor food, very bland. Didn't even include any chips; $30 for 2 enchiladas and a burrito. Got the 2 stars because they did make the order correctly. If this is supposed to be authentic, I wonder what they are comparing it to.

Food is highly over priced. They must have a lower price menu for their local friends because working class people would not pay this much. Portion size is too small. Wait time for food preparation is too long. Not enough (or any?) vegetables used. Not really any vegetarian options except a bean burrito, but the beans may have lard. Not healthy food. Only parking is available street spots. New wheelchair access.

No no no. Only seating is outdoors. Food is served on paper plates. No ice, bottled drinks come out of a refrigerator and not cold. You come inside the building and order in the middle of their sanitary kitchen area so the sinks are behind you and the grills are in front of you with a cash register in the middle. It was all very very strange. And honestly, the foods not that great. There were some people out front that told us how great it was while we were waiting in line, but we totally did not agree. We had a Carne Asada burrito And it was just all very bland beans and rice and just a little bit of meat. We also ordered a chicken quesadilla that was decent but simple and basic enough it could be made at home. We wanted some thing with a little bit of Mexican flair and decided on this place while we were spending the day at Kings Beach and frankly there are a lot of other options that we could've tried instead likely for less money. I think our overall meal was about $45.

Not sure why this is called authentic Mexican food. We had tacos which were pricey with low quality. The chicken tacos were made with shredded chicken which is a first for me. Jalisco style tacos are not like this, it's more like Tex-mex food. Salsa was bland and not spicy at all. We also had a carne asada taco that was dry and not seasoned either. Was hoping to find a nice taco spot in kings beach area but I was better off going to Taco Bell. Food prep was being done in front of customers, not in the kitchen. Everyone had a tall can of beer in their hand. If the food was good I would look past all this but the food was bad and pricey. I hope whoever eats here knows that tacos are not made like that in Jalisco, this is a shame.
