The Dog House is a kiosk truck stationed in a parking lot that offers gourmet hot dogs and shaved ice (according to their menu). Walked across the street from Kings Beach, but it was just closing at 5pm on Sunday so didn't get a chance to eat here.

It's really expensive, but it's a summer tradition. Plus the price includes a great view of the lake hiding behind glorious pine trees. The staff is always friendly.

We got a couple of 7 inch cheese pizza and fish taco. All was tasty. Red sauce was a bit spicy (if you are sensitive). You can call ahead to order and then pick up. They have restrooms. Plenty of seating inside and outside.

Wonderful spot! You can catch the game on one of their multiple TVs. Can't miss the action. The staff is awesome and care about each table.

Not sure if it was the owner but what I just saw was absolutely disgusting. There were a few people in front of his business selling food or something and he came outside screaming telling them to f*** off. The people were even there to eat themselves and just happened to be stopped by someone asking what they were selling. This community is better than that. This is completely unacceptable from anyone.

Coors Light with McDonalds FoodImagine taking a Coors light into McDonalds to have with your Big Mac. Yes, that was my experience. Disinterested staff, and getting mocked for ordering a half pint (but charged full price without telling me), was not a pleasant experience. And the dogs. Yes, dogs in restaurants can be OK, but with two dogs on bar stools, you know they are wiping their butt on that seat, and then someone will come in and sit in it. Could be you!OK, go at your own risk. Over 90% of my reviews are positive, but this place was the exception.

Great locals bar with TVs and pub food. Super friendly staff! My go-to spot for NFL Sundays.

Absolutely delicious burgers (super greasy but satisfying), yummy chicken sandwiches, mozzarella sticks, fries, and beers. It's a fun spot for drinks and was quite busy on a Friday night. You have to flag the waitress down to order and pay.

I'm sad to see The Grid has only around a 4-star rating. Please read this review and decide for yourselves.First, we are from the City of Chicago, the Midwest, and for various reasons found ourselves way out west sitting at the Grid Bar & Grill. Outside of New Mexico, which we think has the greatest US-West food and yummy green chilies, we can't really comment on California bars and restaurants. Having said that, The Grid had good bar food: tasty and their burgers hit the spot. I consider myself a bar patron, beer, brats and burgers kind of guy and this was certainly bar food. And the beer on draft was cold, some locally brewed, fresh, clean taps (not flat), with domestic selections. We could easily spend an afternoon at The Grid hanging out and drinking pints of beer. After reading the 1-star reviews, I'm making a quick edit. If you have never been to a *real* bar for food and drinks, then skip The Grid and take the kids to Applebee's.

The food was great, but the service was terrible..Shailyn never checked on us and refilled our water. She was extremely rude. I was not happy with her service. The food deserves a five star, but Shailyn deserves 0 stars, so I have to give the place 3 stars.

Service is pretty good. Beer selection limited. Menu is bar food. The food is average. Location is solid. There are better options.
