“In late April 2023 my wife and I were staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Klamath during our visit to Redwoods National and State Parks. We were back at the hotel after a day of hiking and wanted to grab an early dinner nearby. Unfortunately, the restaurant at the casino next door was closed, leaving us with two options within walking distance, either the travel plaza a couple blocks away or (our eventual choice) the Country Club Bar and Grill. While the name of the place may conjure up images of a contemporary steakhouse or perhaps a trendy gastropub, neither is the case here – the Country Club Bar and Grill is a dive bar, pure and simple. When you first walk in, it’s extremely dark; once your eyes begin to adjust, you’ll see a bar with customers who are clearly local regulars, a pool table, a juke box playing country music, and a handful of small tables. The grill, which is run separately, is in the back. My wife and I, being born-and-raised suburbanites from Southern California, initially felt completely out of place here as bars never played much of a role in either of our respective social development. However, once we settled in and our food arrived, things got much more comfortable. Both my wife’s turkey melt and my mushroom burger were on point, and our fries were hot and tasty. The prices were fair, and both the grill proprietor and the bartender were very nice. While it’s not the sort of place we’d go out of our way to find, we ended up enjoying our meal at the Country Club Bar and Grill, and the experience created a positive vacation memory.”

“We came to celebrate our 30th Anniversary and got to Klamath so late that everything was already closed. We stumbled across this little market down the street from "Trees of Mystery" and decided to grab a snack. Well!! Were we surprised by the delicious food!! We had a most delicious ribeye steak, yummy little cubed french fries, salad and delicious "Line 39" Chardonnay wine. We could not believe that this unassuming little market could have such great food. The food was VERY expensive though. Being from New Orleans, we really are spoiled with excellent food at very reasonable prices, so we did find it quite pricey. But we were tired, hungry and had traveled all day to get there, and it was worth every bite! We would have eaten there again during the week if could have afforded to do so. Also!! Wonderful service and very friendly staff!! Praise God!”

“It is our third year at Klamath Camper Corral for the 4th of July! Our family has gone for several years which is how we learned about it. We love this campground and are already booked for next year! The campground has everything we need, Trails to go to the river, fish cleaning station (cleaned daily) playground and games for the kids, pet friendly, laundry, showers/bathrooms, horse shoe pits, pizza place, and little store! Owners are awesome!”
