I come in hungry and leave happy.I'm not a sushi fan, but am always looking for good teriyaki -- I switch back and forth between chicken and salmon for the tempura combo. Tonight I started with the fried beef gyoza...delicious and such a nice contrast of textures between inside and out.

Haruku Sake and Sushi in La Cañada Flintridge has become a favorite spot for my friends and I. It's so nice, we've now visited twice in the same number of weeks. The hamachi (yellowtail) and maguro (blue fin) sashimi were absolutely decadent, showcasing the freshness and quality of the ingredients. The rolls and salad were equally delightful, offering a perfect balance of flavors.What impresses us most is the consistent excellence in both service and culinary offerings. The fact that we returned for a second visit speaks volumes about the positive experiences we've had. If you're a fan of sushi done right, this place is definitely worth a visit.

I don't know how so many people give 5 stars for this place?! Sushi is subpar for what they charge. I was there last night With my friend and she said it was good. Ok let's try this place. i ordered spicy tuna cut roll, bluefin tuna sushi and kind salmon sushi. Nothing fresh!!! I've been a fisherman for over 40 years and last 9 years we concentrated on fishing for bluefin off our California coast since they been coming around. So when it comes to fish o know about freshness. You guys need to do better if you're going to charge what you guys charge. Btw you guys should 86 the ramens!!! I had a bowl of your pork tonkatsu chashu ramen and it was flavorless. Sometimes I wonder if you guys taste anything you guys serve?! I'll stick to my usual spot in Sherman oaks

Love sushi, sashimi and most of all uni! They have fresh and flavourful uni which I really enjoyed! We ordered no-rice rolls, fresh oysters and salmon sashimi. Make sure to get reservations to avoid any hassles. The restaurant is small but intimate. Servers are friendly and they recommend whats good in their menu.
My boyfriend and I came here and we really enjoyed ourselves! As a vegetarian, there is often not many places where I have a lot of options on the menu but I was able to get 4 things here! I enjoyed the avocado roll, the egg roll, and the edamame (if you want it spicy, it's $1 more). The tofu sushi was a little sweet for me, but it was my first time trying it so I might get it again!My boyfriend really enjoyed his rolls and the udon. He ended up taking half of each roll to go and they were good leftovers for dinner as well. The restaurant itself had a very chill vibe, there were friends gathering, families talking loudly, and people on dates. Our servers were very attentive and everyone coming and going go a nice welcome and friendly goodbye. We will definitely be going back and bringing more friends to share the good food and drinks!

Had a wonderful dinner at Haruka! The service was great and the food was delicious. Some stand outs for me were the scallops not only were they beautifully plated and very aesthetic, but the texture was soft and buttery. The next stand out was the Salmon sashimi it was fresh and I loved how it was paired with citrus yuzu and lemon. The uni was my first time having uni so ai can't fully speak on it. I would say that the sauce it was suspended on was a bit too salty for my preference, but not a bad taste at all. The ambiance was great very clean, classic, and cute.

Of all the sushi spots I’ve had, Haruka does an exceptionally amazing job at serving fresh fish to you. The restaurant is well lit and the ambiance was very comforting. It was a jolly good time!Food: amazing!All the dishes tasted fresh and delectable. My personal favorites were the uni shooter and the blue crab handroll. The uni shooter was a mix of all things oyster shots and tenfold - it looks like a lot but the flavors mesh so well with each other leaving a nice vinegar sour and delicious aftertaste. The blue crab handroll had no gaminess and tasted heavenly.Service: great!Everyone was so pleasant and they went around making sure we had all the dishes for us. They went around with waters and cleared plates immediately after we finished. Thank you again!
