Amazing fried chicken takes a long time but totally worth it. Teriyaki is the jam! Bizarre the reviews are so bad

Chicken Day is my favorite fried chicken spot - I've been going for over a decade now having tried the best chicken in NYC, Nashville, and of course, LA and this is THE spot. So underrated. The original fried chicken is my favorite go-to with the sauce and extra radish but honestly, the entire menu is great - you can't go wrong.Parking: In a plaza, there's always a lot of spots. If not, you can just park in the streets, there are no meters so you never have to pay.

- Korean pepper - it is delicious. Not spicy and not too sweet. It is a good mix and has this good gooey sauce to it. Love it - garlic pepper - this wasn't a hit for me. It was a bit sweet and didn't really taste the garlic honestly. - kimbap: yes it's fresh but ehhh pass. Had better - fries: for the portion of fries versus price is not worth it. It's enough for one person but for 5 dollars - I was expecting a bit more Korean chicken in LA is better but at the same time for the location and not going to La - this place isn't bad. It's a good local option. The only major thing is to only get wings or legs cuz the whole chicken means whole chicken. I saw pieces that I wasn't sure of so unless you actually want a whole chicken chopped up then go for it. Second, service is great and super nice

I am very excited to go back here. It's a Korean Fried Chicken place.I ordered the sweet and spicy chicken, and although the sauce wasn't my favorite, their chicken was amazingly well cooked.I will definitely go back to try their other flavors. They play Kpop videos on the screen so it's also nice if you're into that.

I always come here whenever I visit because It was so close to the place I was staying. It still did not disappoint. The price was reasonable and the chicken was yummy. So tender and falls off the bone easily. People here are nice and K-pop background music is always a bop.

I have been by this restaurant a few times when with my wife and I and were going to the jewelry shop next door or the Korean market in the same strip mall. The name of the establishment always intrigued me. What is Chicken Day and what does the name mean? Today I finally went it after ordering a Xmas gift for my wife at the jewelry shop. The jewelry shop owner told me that their food was good so I had to give it a try. The lady behind the counter was friendly and helpful since it was my first time there. The restaurant is clean and bright. I ordered a lunch special to go. It consisted of three full chicken wings in a sweet and spicy sauce (very good), a scoop of white rice, small salad with dressing and a soda. I was pleasantly surprised. The chicken was cooked perfectly. She told me when I ordered that it would take fifteen minutes and now I know why. Everything is cooked to order. That made the wings crunchy and flavorful. I will be back to try their original fried chicken and I know it will be just as good if not better than what I ordered today. Today was a good day for me at Chicken Day.

Came for a snack and what better than Korean fried chicken. While we didn't expect much, I was pretty happy with what we ordered. We got 12 pc drumstick with 6 original and 6 in their garlic spicy sauce. Along with that, two orders of wedge fries, and a gimbop (tuna). To start, the gimbop came out and it was decently made. Tightly packed and filled with different ingredients. The sauce that came with it wasn't very spicy and could have done more with Gochujung, but oh well. The vinegared daikon that came with the chicken was nicely done. The wedge fries were decently fried too. But the main show stealer was the chicken. I started with the original and the crispy on the exterior and then the moistness and full-flavor on the meat was spectacular. The garlic spicy is pretty similar, but the sauce didn't really hit the same. I think mainly because it tasted like a Mae Ploy dip with garlic flavoring. The chicken wasn't bad still, but the sauce left me wanting a more unique or spicier sauce. All in all, it was a fair surprise to have chicken that nice and we wouldn't mind visiting again for more in the future.

I got diarrhea from this place. Just ridiculous. Don't come here if you want to get a sick stomach and leave with a lot of issues!! I tried to give this place a chance, but it led up to this review. I went here few times and the first visit I had a upset stomach the whole night after about 1 hour of eating from here. Like the other reviews before me stated, the chicken is old and not good quality meat! It's true because after my first visit here, it happened again and again to my third visit here and literally kept me up all night going to the bathroom, and ended up making a working man not function the next following morning at my job. Also the service is not bad, but COULD BE better. I'm not sure if the young egotistic looking korean gentleman that works there as the server is the only one? But while he has decent customer service, but one thing I've noticed and many others noticed is that if you tell him "thank you" he NEVER says "you're welcome" or "No problem" back. While thats not a big issue, but it just, I guess comes off as a bit rude? Lastly, I'm korean and let me say that their chicken taste is not bad. But as far as the actual authentic korean fried chicken 'Ttongdak' it's not here in America. Korea is the only place for that. But if you're looking for something close, you are better going to irvine or K-Town L.A.

Problem w this place is that the chicken wings here are small. One of the smallest I seen. Do they use baby chicken wings? Taste good
