waitress treated us with almost no respect and was rude when we requested a table away from the doorway on a cold Easter Sunday morning. This place has a habit of this sort of behavior.

Have passed by this place since they opened way back when. We decided to have Saturday breakfast here instead going to our usual places. We were not disappointed as we were seated right away and menus given by our server. Not too many ppl at 9a so lots of seating choices! Many regulars eating here as servers and bus staff greeted each other by name! Ordered the usual omelette and short stack which arrived quickly and was delish! Easy parking lot and we will be back!

Great venue! Large dining area with fun booths, lighting, etc. Another half with a full bar, and both areas have a fireplace so it's a cozy ambiance. Extensive brunch menu. Everything was tasty, from breakfast burritos to pancakes. Friendly staff. Looks like a solid locals spot. Overall this ambiance is worth it to have a great family meal, or swing by for happy hour during the week, which has great specials as well!

We have finally stopped going because prices have gone to high, and the service has become slow, it's like we had become invisible to the waitress the last time, they are fast with the check, on the slip shows how you should tip starting at 18 %. But we love Martin, he's the go to person always has a smile.

Not sure why this place was rated low and glad I tried it. There is plenty of parking. I walked in and I felt so cozy with the interior decor, American flag displayed in the main dining area. I split my tuna melt sandwich with my friend and she split the ginger salad. They were both delicious. The onion rings were pretty good. The service upon entry to the wait staff was excellent. They were all friendly and made sure we're were without during our stay. We decided that because there were a multitude of different items on the menu, we would be repeat customers.

Nestled in the heart of La Cañada. The Dish is a local gem that has stood the test of time. Having stumbled upon this quaint spot many years ago, it has become a staple whenever I find myself in town. While I typically indulge in their breakfast offerings, it's a testament to their quality that I've never felt the need to explore beyond that. During my recent visit this past weekend The Dish once again delivered an experience that exceeded expectations. From the moment we stepped in, the service was warm and welcoming, setting the stage for what was to come. Opting for their renewed omelettes both my dad and I were treated to a symphony of flavors that left us craving more. The omelets were masterfully , cooked each bite, busting with freshness, and perfectly balanced ingredients. However it was the crispy hashbrowns that truly stole the show, golden and crunchy on the outside, yet irresistibly, fluffy on the inside, they were delightful accompaniment that left us reaching for seconds. Beyond the delectable dishes, what truly sets The Dish apart is its consistent quality and unwavering commitment to customer service. Whether you're a local or just passing through this establishment, offers a taste of home cooked comfort that is sure to leave you coming back for more. In a bustling culinary scene where trends come and go, The Dish remains a steadfast beacon of excellence, providing that, sometimes, the classics truly are timeless. If you find yourself in La Cañada, do yourself a favor and pay them a visit your taste buds will thank you. I have no pics of food, because as soon as they set it down, we dug in and couldn't stop.

The waiters were very friendly and correct at all times, especially a girl who also spoke Spanish. The exquisite breakfast. Very good atmosphere. I will recommend it.Parking: We didn't have any problems parking.

Slow to be acknowledged after seating ourselves. Food was not hot, it seemed like it was under the warming lights for a while. Flatware not provided until after service.

It was okay, honestly it just felt complacent. It's one of those places where you're thinking, oh this could be good and then everything is just not quite there, from the food to the decor to the service unfortunately. As a server just because you come by the table often does not count as good service. We asked for bread and never got it. It seemed like we could barely get whatever we wanted to say out of our mouth before our server was leaving the table again. The decor could be really nice, it had a lot of really cool accents like hand painted tables and unique construction. Some painting could really enhance the unique shape of the circular building. It just needs a little TLC. Also if you're going to serve dinner even if you close at 9pm could you dim the lights? For dinner with the bright lights it felt like a cafeteria. The restaurant is in a nice area and we were definitely rooting for them since we hadn't been there before but unfortunately we probably won't go back. Perhaps they were on top of their game at one time and now somebody just needs to step it up . The salad was okay, the steak was thin as was my dressing, it tasted watered down. My husband had to ask for more dressing because he described it as dry.Oh yes, these were just salads we had...The wine was a decent pour and the party seemed to be in the bar area for happy hour. Unfortunately when we came in the hostess didn't ask if we were there for happy hour. So we ended up in the main dining area where happy hour wasn't available. So no party for us!

The service was slow. My food was overdone and burnt and tasted like charcoal. This is not the first time I've had food there that has been burnt. Also, we were charged for our friends extras on our bill. I wasn't expecting much from previous visits, and it definitely lived up to my non-expectations I will never return again for dinner !!
