This has become my favorite fast food Chinese place in the area. All the dishes are delicious and the perfect place to pick up a meal on the way home. I've been to places like this that have lost their desire to please. Not so the Golden Fortune! Just writing about it makes me want to stop by for a meal. And I will! So should you.

If youre thinking you want panda, think again. The food at this place is beyond amazing. I could eat their bbq pork every day I swear. The chow mein is so fucking good I can't even explain. Please go here! The prices are unbelievable, people are kind, I even think Gordon Ramsey would approve

I ate there for the first time today and it was great. I got the Orange Chicken and Hot & Sour soup. Both delicious. And they were very friendly. I recommend it!

The food is always great The staff is welcoming and friendly. So glad they are in the area. Portions are large and the price is reasonable.

Fantastic place! Came with my mom and brother on a rainy day. It's super clean, doesn't smell like everything fried ( major plus!) food tastes delicious nothing greasy and everything has a distinct flavor. Customer service is 5 stars Will definitely come back again and again!

Unfortunately I have to give this 1 star as I ended up throwing it away. I ordered the BBQ Pork, Orange Chicken, Chow Mein and Fried Rice. Everything is cold and dry the pork is basically jerk, the rice is crunchy, the chicken is chewy, I'm pretty sure the Chow Mein is spaghetti noodles. It's buffet food that has sat there for a while for hours.Parking: Plenty of space

This place has been around forever but the ownership changed and the food has gotten much much better. It is my to-go place now to grab a quick lunch!

Standard ready made Chinese take out. They pile it up in the plate. The wonton soup is made to order, also very good Good food. Good price. Super friendly workers.

The people that were here before would give u a bigger portion and would put a fork, soy sauce, hot sauce and fortune cookie. Now you need to ask for those things. New

Surprised to find many more entree options than what is seen by just looking at the menu. Also some Korean-suited entrees :) The bbq pork costs a little extra but worth it! We enjoyed each entree we ordered. Kind staff, new owners!

We came back for another round on Saturday night. I ordered a bowl of chow main and jalapeño fish, and my wife ordered another bowl with chow main and spicy pork. Both dishes were delicious. Flavorful. It's a little gem in the heart of La Crescenta. The owners are very friendly, generous with the portions. The place is very clean, we can tell they are on top of it. Will recommend this place to any with a big stomach and small budget. Bon appétit.

Given the choice between G.F.E. and a place like, say, Panda Express, it fills my culinary loving heart with great joy to announce that G.F.E. takes the gamut of Chinese food and owns it hands down. Some fast foods we look to for comfort and I can understand why it is so easy to lean on places that are sprinkled all over the continent like P.E. and they have made it so easy to follow their lead and put your money down for their quick and easy cuisine. But does that make it necessarily the best option for us simple folk who love a good plate of colorful, crunchy, saucy, vegetables sharing equal billing with some kind of well seasoned and cooked proteins? NO. And so I have to announce here and now, how lucky I consider myself to have the ability to drive up the hill a few minutes from my home and have immediate access to a place like G.F.E.! This is after only one visit, ordering a simple combo A with chow mien (amazing noodles, no grease) and BBQ pork (well seasoned and cooked nicely). Shame that us Americans have to constantly complain about not having our plates and pockets stuffed and spilling over the sides with whatever we want to eat and demanding that restaurant owners comply in this selfish request of ours simply because everyone says so. I say, give me what you think is best and if the food is as delicious as this, I will come back again and again. And if I see the owners of great places like this treat their guests with kindness and joy, then G.F.E., you are the place for ME!
