Great place to meet up for dinner and drinks. Very nice happy hour menu. Service was A-1! Dog friendly patio. Special bonus, live music of Sean Wiggins, a local artist really typed of a great evening.

If I could give this place 0 rating I would... I have been coming here for a while now and thought the food was pretty okay with the atmosphere and all HOWEVER... Let me say this...after the pandemic the food just seemed to get worse and WOESwith terrible portions...idk if they are trying to be "artys" or whatever it is... IT AIN'T WORKING. So don't even bother coming to this run down place. It's just a bunch of smoke and mirrors because they hoped the ambiance would be enough to hide their mediocre food. I wouldn't honestly rather go to McDonald's and call their food more "bar" worthy if it's gonna be tasting the way it does. That's not even the worst part. The worst part by FAR has to be the LOW CLASS/GHETTO behavior of the hiring management. At some point I considered working here for the only reason that I have been desperately looking for a job. FUTURE APPLICANTS BEWARE... you WILL Waste your time coming here.) The hiring manager was by FAR THE WORST. "Ben" was so dismissive and rude! I kept asking myself why would you even want to get an interview with me if you are going to make me feel like the past jobs I have worked are beneath you and this bar acting like the bar is worthy of Vanderpump Tom Tom level... Anytime I tried to keep an upbeat attitude to combat his rude/dissmisive demeanor it just got worse. When answering the questions he had he made not comment and rolled his eyes! I knew at that point if this is how you are as a manager I will be sure to tell everyone and their mother to never apply here or eat!

Personally I Never write reviews. But this is very deserving of one. God forgive an employer ever come with disrespect like the way "Ben" did in an interview. Short, unresponsive, angry demeanor. If this is how he acts with a potential employee, I wish to NEVER find out how he acts with a customer. I wasted my time even coming to only be treated like I'm did an inconvenience. If you didn't want to interview that day or you simply didn't see me as a good fit for your staff then you do not move forward with an interview. At the end of the day an interview goes both ways. I hope that future applicants get to see this and know this is not a very good place to be at. And NEVER will I recommend eating here to anyone.

Good drinks and great food! My favorites are the garlic cheese bread and the beet & goat cheese salad (add blackened salmon). My kids LOVE the calamari! It's always a lovely meal!

I have been here for some time now and have had great service. Today I am very disappointed ?. I had to get my own drink from the bar because I can see it from the patio as the ice is melting. No sense of urgency from my waitress. Then to place my food order took her forever and my food was cold. I had to ask someone else to get me another drink. Terrible service for a place I love to have a drink and eat and enjoy the awesome atmosphere. Too bad, but the tip reflected the service, sorry. I couldn't even let her know it was my date's birthday and we were celebrating. We left.

We wandered in on a Friday evening dressed casually, incredibly hungry, and wanting to find top tier cuisine. Well, we wandered correctly!! I love the ambiance of Alissa's. It feels homey like a neighborhood bar (where everybody knows your name ) and classy like an upscale restaurant all at the same time. Dress for *your* occasion and you'll feel right at home here! Super casual? Excellent! Celebrating a big anniversary wearing your finest threads? Excellent!! Our server was truly excellent! She was incredibly knowledgeable and personable. Again, somehow walking a perfect balance between friendly/casual and black tie service. The menu offers this same balance. I'm not normally a "salad for dinner" person. I'll pick a fried thing nearly every time (they have both by the way). I went with the Roasted Beet and Goat Cheese salad with Salmon. It was amazing. So amazing that I don't remember what my partner had! Sorry!! No photo because I was starving and dug right in! It was filling and well-balanced. Like everything at Alissa's. I am looking forward to going back on a warmer evening so we can dine out on their gorgeous patio. Parking here: super easy! Free parking lot just down the street with ample parking. Stay and enjoy some of the other local shops!! Thanks!! One of the best kept secrets in LA!!

I found myself here to celebrate. I wanted to eat some seafood and search I did and found the Oceanview word and off we went. Of course , we were not near anywhere near any body of water The place has an old feel dining place but very warm and welcoming server. The place looks good and our server knows her menu like the back of her hand. She gladly went each piece in the menu like a food curator. Take a bow! All the things we ordered were worth 5 happy stars. The whitefish piccata and walnut crusted mahi mahi were definitely worth another visit. Plump, juicy and sweet. The vegetables were just the right amount. Not overcrowding the plate . I enjoyed cutting through the fish without having to worry if I was pushing veggies off my plate. The shrimp cocktail was an easy app to start and the tiny side salad was just the right size/ our server told us to get this size because the full salad is too much for us. The shrimp brochete complimented well with the rice and asparagus. It was seasoned well. I am coming back . For dinner this time.

Ownership must have changed, as the food was bland with no flavor at all. We had brunch and even the coffee was terrible. Service was barely decent, with very contrived smiles and a lot of talking inappropriately about customers and laughing at them behind their backs (thinking we didn't notice). Once upon a time, we used to frequent this place and it was delicious with great service. No longer...I would definitely go elsewhere.

Very friendly folks here, and the bathrooms were sparkling.

Incredible vegan bowl! Very filling. One of us got as is and one added chicken. So much food! Generally vegan bowls are small but wow! We were happily surprised. Kids liked the burgers and fries. Fish and chips was also a hit. Recommend!

I'm not sure where to start exactly. The entire experience was awful here. The hostess was quite rude. The server had absolutely no idea about any of the drinks or food. It was weird. We were already skeptical so we decided to just order just appetizers & drinks and skip the full dinner here. And I'm sure glad we did. The appetizers were very over priced and tasteless. The truffle fries were like hard bricks of uncooked potatoes with no sort of truffle to them at all. They were awful. The Hawaiian skewers had like 2 pieces of meat. And cooked poorly. Very salty. The caprese skewers had only 2 pearls of cheese and 2 tomatoes. For $10-8 each they were so small and tasteless. We had a few round of drinks. Mystery Cabernet was so bad. And the tequila tasted so awful, like it came out of the free bar in Cancun. And overpriced. Honestly maybe this is just how it is in Montrose. Such an odd and overpriced experience. Only downside to living away from the city in beautiful La Cañada is the lack of acceptable dining establishments. Think we'll be sticking to the consistent establishments in Pasadena who have a love for good food and drinks. I'd pass on this one. Step it up Montrose.

Wonderful service and good food. Very dog friendly and staff is eager to accommodate your pet. The patio is quiet and welcoming.

Great food and service. My husband and I have been there a few times he has tried their vegetarian option pastas and he liked it and I have had their sandwiches. My friends band "5 Feet Under" plays there last Saturday of every month that's when we go there, if they didn't play there we may never have tried this place.
