Drove all the way here to find out that it was closed? I came here at 6pm on a Sunday and the doors were locked and the place was dark inside. The hours posted on Google, Yelp, and their website are 10:30am-9pm. Why advertise false information? I'm taking my business elsewhere.

Great food at a great price. You don't need to go to KTown and you get the same quality and taste

Average food + rude service by the front-of-house lady. Too many other Korean food options in the area to return here.

Just tried their Yang Ji Seolleongtang and it was delicious, with generous servings of broth and meat. Nice that I can find great Seolleongtang in my hood without having to go all the way to Ktown for it! The ahjuma who waited on us was nice and professional, and told me to be sure to try their do ga ni (ox knee) soup next time, which I definitely will. FYI the hours say they open at 10:30 but actual food service does not start until 11. Definitely recommend!

Food was good, service was ok. If you are undecided about this place due to the poor reviews you should check the name of the people giving 1 star and 5 star review. You will see a pattern. If you know you know ?. Its typical of some Korean establishments.

This place does not close a 9pm. By about 8pm they turn off the Open sign and turn away customers, even if you only want takeout. I've had this happen twice. I'm not sure I'll try again. Gas is too pricey to make useless drives.

The food was delicious! I went in knowing about the bad reviews about service. There was only one woman serving all of the tables. I understand some people might not like the service they got but she's human, and this lady was not stopping for anything. They are severely understaffed but she was making moves and not being malicious like some other people are saying. I don't speak Korean so there was some communication we had to work through but other than that she was direct, she was doing her best, and the food was freakin delicious. There was a tiny mixup that another customer caused (his fault) and she felt bad so she gave us a discount for the inconvenience. She was the sweetest. Is this Applebee's where they'll smile and make you feel like home, no. Is this the kind of place to get Korean food, pay, and go about your day, yes. Eat and call your mother you ingrate.

4 star for the food. Not Korean or Ktown level, but great for a suburb like La Crescenta. 5 stars for the server lady who is always amazing and hospitable.

I don't understand the reviews that say the server/owner is rude, I went here many times with friends and family and they're just fine. The food is wonderful too, if anything it's not as bad as these reviews say. They heard me butchering my korean and made polite teasing fun. Overall good experience

Solmaru serve very delicious seolleongtang. No need to stress over going to Koreatown if you are in the Pasadena/Glendale area - come here!Let me back up, seolleongtang is a beef/ox bone broth soup with beef brisket and rice noodles. It is served with a bowl of rice and like any korean meal, served with banchan. Banchan are side dishes like kimchi. It's a relatively plain and simple dish - great for nourishing and healing the body. It's seasoned with salt and green onions.Solmaru were generous - they gave me more beef brisket slices and rice noodles than other places I've tried in Los Angeles. I felt they were a little stingy with the green onions. Compared to Han Bat in Koreatown, I think the bone broth are on par.Solmaru is my new favorite!
