Nestled within the quaint charm of La Jolla, Blue Whale offers a delightful escape with its classic French toast. Made with thick-cut brioche and adorned with a delectable raspberry and vanilla cream, alongside a tangy raspberry compote and a sprinkle of powdered sugar, each bite is a harmonious blend of flavors. What truly enhances the experience is the warm service, reminiscent of the friendly vibes of a seaside community. For a tranquil breakfast experience that satisfies both the palate and the soul, Blue Whale is the perfect destination.

Came here for a coffee and ended up getting a teriyaki bowl as well. Both were excellent! The espresso quality was very good and had a well balanced flavor. The teriyaki bowl was also very good! Had lots of fresh vegetables and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The service was also super nice. Shout out to Michael for his attempt with the POS system. Absolute good vibes from all the workers! They seemed to enjoy their job, which always makes a difference. The cafe has a good environment too, nice beach vibes. I sat outside and enjoyed the sunny day Thank you all!! I will be returning

I saw Blue Whale all over TikTok and had to try it. We came on a Sunday morning which was probably not the best idea with the crowd. You order inside and then find a table but it was hard for everyone to find tables and some people had to stand with their food for a while. The servers were really kind and tried to help find open tables for customers. My friends and I really enjoyed our food (I'm still thinking about the French toast). However, the drinks weren't as great. Overall, I enjoyed brunch with my friends but I'm not sure if I'd stop by again

I ordered the breakfast bowl and it came with only ONE small oyster mushroom, 4 half pieces of cherry tomato and a few pieces of arugula. No hummus or goat cheese. Definitely not worth the price.

I was very excited to go to this place, as I saw it as a new option for Sunday breakfastS and finally did go last week, and was extremely disappointed and extremely insulted as everything that I ordered was not even edible the açai bowl was one by too many. The only edible items were the blueberries, bananas, and a couple strips of peanut butter as the açai itself was so sweet I asked was there sugar added to it, and I was told now that it came prepacked, and then I understood that everything else in my meal was prefab probably taken out of boxes. The eggs had absolutely no flavor. They were served cold. I was served the wedge of hashbrowns that definitely came out of a box and did not compete with the McDonald's version of a hash brown. I received this soy Rizzo that was disgusting, and this green scrambled spinach looking thing that look like came out of a lawnmower that was dressed with some bottled salad dressing everything in this place prefab I asked for a green juice and was pointed towards a refrigerator that had bottled items, and I understood that everything in this place is just resold from a supplier. Nothing is made on the premises and if it is, it is made by a dishwasher or some poorly trained kitchen worker I would definitely stay away from this place . to add insult to injury The bill for two people was $80. The weight staff picked up the entire table, knowing that nothing was eaten from the plates and never even questioned if anything was good or if there was a problem with the food which was indicative that they probably see this all day long and stopped.

Matcha, Ube pancakes, and açaí bowls were just decent, nothing to write home about. Their hash browns however, might be the best I've had. I prefer to get them in the breakfast sando but they are served in blue whale brekky as well. Dare I say they are better than McDonald's hash browns, and we all know how good those are...

I came across this cute spot with a friend. We love trying new places that have a cute aesthetic and Blue Whale did not disappoint! The food was also really good. My favorite was the Ube pancakes! A must try! I will definitely be coming back here to try other things on the menu.
