My husband and I have come here consistently for years. It is one of our favorite sushi spots in San Diego— the food is fresh, consistent and tasty. The service is attentive and friendly. Rose is often our waitress, she’s wonderful and it’s always great to see a familiar face. Highly recommend!

We drove to this restaurant from Pacific Beach on a saturday since it had good reviews. We arrived at 8:05pm excited and hungry. The hostess told us that the kitchen closed at 8pm, we said but your hours are until 9pm, they said sorry so we left disgusted. Drove back home to Orange County and will never get a chance to eat at this restaurant again. So, I am not able to recommend this Sushi Restaurant.

The sushi and tempura are A+ here but the service was really awkward and our shorter female server snapped at our table. *For ordering a dipping sauce with the tempura she asked "what it was for." She also told us we were confusing her buss person for asking the busser to bring my soda with a slice of lemon. It was so uncomfortable here and the lighting and music is also very off, the music sounds muffled and the lighting is bright with a yellow hue. I recommend they dim the lights and put in a better sound system to create more of a mood. The ambiance gets a 1 star and the sushi is a 4/5, but the terrible attitude from our server for no reason was also very uncalled for. $137 with tip for 2 people. I think this restaurant will sadly go under not because the food isn't amazing, but because the service is very strict, and they scold their customers. Note: They had 2 other tables on a Saturday night. We left at 6:45pm and by that time the restaurant was empty.

Had a pretty terrible experience here. Came in at a very slow time (Sunday night - with three other tables full, no takeout orders clearly being placed). Called ahead since I have bad food allergies & asked if they could accommodate. They said yes, but when I got there were extremely rude & dismissive- didn't take severe food allergies seriously & also were extremely unkind when I asked straightforward questions. Didn't feel comfortable eating there. Would definitely not recommend if you have any dietary restrictions or if you want to feel welcome. Truly a horrible and uncomfortable experience. To boot, I was with someone else who had already placed an order - their review of the food was "not that good."I'd give your business to another establishment that treats their customers well.Dietary restrictions: Not a place to go if you have dietary restrictions. They will over-promise & be rude to you when you ask very straightforward Qs. I have not felt less welcome and dismissed and untrusting of an establishment in a great while. Sad to say I cannot recommend them to take allergies seriously at all or be willing to accommodate.

Well the food was good and our waitress was super nice but the owner ruined the experience. We will not be back and it makes sense why this place was completely empty on Saturday night! The owner came up to our table after we paid and were wrapping and literally told us we didn't tip enough!! WOW! Very awkward and she told us to properly tip. Okay... makes sense why nobody is in here!! Who does that! You really think that's going to keep customers? I felt bad for the worker because she brought the waiter over and was like was their service bad? Is that why you didn't tip good?Never come here. It's empty for a reason terrible owner. How are you empty in downtown La Jolla on Saturday night in the summer? Oh the owner explains it all!

I love this restaurant! Good food, friendly service, fresh decor and the restaurant has comfortable booth seating. Tonight, we had a sushi- tuna avocado roll, shrimp avocado roll and a Crunchy Dragon Roll. All were delicious. For appetizers we had gyoza and edamame - cooked perfectly.Service was prompt and friendly, too.

Amazing place. Food is beyond delicious. We had the cucumber salad and fried rice as starters . Taste sensations for both. Sushi rolls were divine! Definitely recommend the flight of sake. Really really good. The beautiful La Jolla ocean view and amazing service made for a great date night!!
