Very nice staff in a rather deli-like setting. The sushi was good quality with a good variety. My two lesser grades were to the avocados in an octopus ceviche -- tiny cubes nearly impossible to pick up with chopsticks; and "fresh" wasabi that looked more like a green salsa and not very tasty. Parking was a bit of a search since the block the restaurant sits on has been closed off to provide outside tables. When in the area in search of sushi, I'd definitely go back.

No rice sushi wrapped with cucumber, A healthy choice with no carbs.

I always forget this is here but their marketing team was pushing a free crispy rice on IG and it got my memory flowing again. The mixed tempura is perfect and light. The crispy rice is perfection. And rolls are super fresh and not skimpy in fillings or toppings. Their HH is nice but not extensive.

This place has become my favorite sushi in LJ. The quality of fish has gone up & been consistently fresh every time. I love the way they make their sushi rice. The service is great. Overall, great location, food & service.

Nice calm place with a few good vegan options. We had the agadashi tofu and the vegetable tempura wrap, both of which were exceptionally tasty and well cooked. Would love to see more vegan options here.

Attentive and genuine service from our waitress Karissa who not only read our thoughts but was excited to help us!Food was delicious, especially the birthday dessert that they "accidentally went overboard on the chocolate." (No such thing as accidents when it comes to extra chocolate!)My friend and I enjoyed our delicious lunch on the patio, people watching and enjoying the dogs that walked by. The perfect start to my birthday weekend!!

Lovely outdoor atmosphere with friendly staff.Sushi Mori serves relatively large portions, considering the price and the La Jolla location. Poke salmon bowl was fresh. Chicken katsu entree, which came with tempura, was fried perfectly and accompanied with a large salad, rice, and miso soup. The only downside of Sushi Mori is the lack of parking. Finding parking nearby is almost impossible.

It's such a cute spot with great service. However, I must say I was a bit disappointed with the food. I opted for sushi selections, but unfortunately, the fish was not fresh at all. Given the prices, I expected better quality.
