We are regulars here because the service is top notch, the food/sushi is excellent, and the bartenders remember us and our favorite drinks every time we grab a seat at the bar. The Rose Roll is second to none, the Ramen is bomb, and my partner loves the Lemon Cilantro Roll as well. It can get really busy late night on the weekends and sushi during these times can take a long time to come out (understandably) so plan ahead, be patient and kind. This place was awesome. We tried all the drinks on the menu including the creme brulee martini, love potion, french martini, peach margarita, and asian pear martini. All were great but margarita with tajin rim was fave. For sushi rolls we tried all of our waiter’s suggestions - hokkaido ahi roll (amazing 6/5 stars), ultimate hamachi roll (suuuuuper refreshing, if not a little too much cilantro), and tiger lilly (maybe the prettiest roll on the menu and packed with shrimp). We were very impressed by the food and suggestions by our waiter Kayla who was awesome and we will definitely be coming back for more. Yum yum ?4 stars for atmosphere because we couldnt sit outside ?Parking: Might be busy/difficult to find on weekends

Great service. Tables are a little small and close together, could be better. Glad I finally tried this place but the sushi rolls and menu overall seemed pricey, especially for La Mesa. Shrimp appetizer and spicy edamame were great, one sushi roll was yummy, other just okay. Had a delicious spicy plum sake.

We went to eat, waited 30 mins and once we got our food there was hair in the sushi roll, then they took all of our food and still billed us. The worse experience ever

This sushi restaurant is one of the best in San Diego! Its menu selection of sushi is amazing, plus their entrees are delicious. I highly recommend making a reservation for dinner. Walk-ins, okay, but it'll be a long wait.

Every time I come here the service is amazing. Yes the wait is long but it's totally worth it plus you can always make a reservation on open table but you have to do it with time. Desiree was our waitress this last time my husband and I went and she was so helpful, nice, attentive to all her tables. If you want to splurge on good sushi this is the place to go.

Great spot for date night or Tuesday dinner. Solid selection of craft cocktails and beer. All the fish tastes very fresh and the presentation is on point. The rainbow and afterburner rolls are our favorite. Make it a point to stop here and give them a shot. You'll be glad you did.

Was very excited to try a new sushi place. While the sushi was delicious, the prices were insane and the service was subpar. It took almost 45 minutes for us to get our food. When it finally arrived, the presentation was nice but not $30 roll nice. That is the average price. Our check was close to $300 (rolls & taxes + tip) and that's with only drinking water. Our waitress was very sweet but not very attentive. We kept having to ask for refills on our drinks. Like I said before, it took about 45 min to get our food. Not once did she come by to update us. Nothing. I'll wait, just let me know I have to wait. We were seated by the front door and every time it opened, we froze. There was nothing to block the wind. Would I recommend? Probably not. Again, the sushi was delicious just overpriced.

Food was great but Im giving 3 stars because I have to say the manager that was on duty today is not one of the best managers. When you complain to a restaurant manger about something and all he has to say is a sad sorry that means you are allowing me to walk out of your restaurant unhappy.
