Great food, great service and great time for a family meal. Thanks German for a great lunch!

Absolutely horrible experience. Service was terrible. We had to keep asking for assistance such as water refills, drink refills. Food was cold or meat uncooked. Had to send back three meals because they were not cooked. Some meals never came or were late arriving and cold when they did arrive. Was over charged meals that we did not order. Had to speak with two managers before we had our bill modified. Unbelievable. I hope this is a one time incident. From the looks of some reviews it is not. No we will not be back.

The food took a long time to arrive, some of the food items were cold. Drinks came out fast. We didn't get a kids menu until we placed our order (we didn't even know they had any as we weren't offered before). The clam chowder didn't come with the bread bowl and we didn't get an explanation (we very obviously ordered the clam chowder in a bread bowl). The waiters seemed to be doing their best but seemed very overwhelmed and possibly understaffed in the kitchen. Wouldn't return or recommend.

The only reason I'm not leaving one star is because the deep dish pizza is always good and a family member, who is a very picky eater, loves it. That being said, every time we get takeout it is a major hassle. Today it took over an hour for our food to be done, 40 minutes more than Postmates had estimated. The worst part is that my broccoli cheese soup looks like a reconstituted blob. You're much better off going to the locally owned Centifonti's in LA Mesa. You'll pay less too.

The call ahead seating is BS. You shouldn't even bother and the hostess is rude about it at best. The food isn't worth the wait and the service is horrible. They were out of the soup I wanted and the small size pizza crust. The waitress tried to make up for it by giving us a free dessert but it then took over 30 minutes and we still didn't get our dessert. The waitress said they were backed up so it would be another 20 minutes. No apology. Our table had our dirty dishes on it for 25 minutes after we ate and when the manager finally came and take the dishes she was rude as well. Needless to say I won't be back.

Service normally above average. Mostly the reason for the 4 stars: Food not so much, very hit or miss. Some things good and above average. Some not.. Honestly though, the happy hour is a great value but the food is like they kind of half-ass some items. They have decent ingredients to work with but below average execution. The pizza is kinda different since it really has no sauce. It took me a while to figure this out. It's a thick breaded pizza with toppings only it appears. No real sauce, just crushed tomatoes which kinda kills it for me. Overpriced too. Actually I tend to like it saucy like my ladies... Unless you decide to order the tavern cut pizza, which is a very thin cracker-type crust. I like this one but I can practically eat the entire thing. Super thin but the tastiest option. I tried the beer club for about a year and have been considering getting out. It is not a bad value with all the perks but costs like 30$ every 2 months. But the food here never wows me. I do like the mozzarella and tomato salad, and the lentil soup however. Now the lentil soup is gone. Beers are just ok with the Zany Zitrus seasonal being my favorite. Service is above average every time at this location and earns a 4 star review here, food and beer 3 to 3.5. You might feel ripped off on the food if you pay full price, just saying. So choose wisely if possible, using happy hour discounts and such. Not a bad place for happy hour/daily deals and really friendly employees here.

The La Mesa staff is always friendly and professional. The staff checks on you just enough to make sure your drink and food order is to your expectations. The food always arrives on time , is made as expected and our party of 4 adults enjoyed what they ordered on this visit.

Good food. Plenty of space. Service was good. The grossmont location is good. Only issue can be parking.

I used to like this place but the food tastes less than fresh now and is so expensive for the quality. It's also very noisy! It always has been noisy. Good spot for a bar visit but not so much for a group dinner.

Ordered through Grubhub, nothing they could've done to make this any better. Had the Enlightened Ahi salad and the ahi did not taste at all like it should've! Took the one bite and didn't want to chance any others- total waste! Also had the shrimp pasta and it was dripping in "butter" sauce that was broken. Shrimp was over cooked and was just a container of grease. Not happy at all with this location!
