A must try spot at the Grossmont center.!A sweet family run eatery that makes every dishes taste delicious :). A very surprised find at the Grossmont center. Their noodles dishes filled with flavors and just the right amount of spices that bring out the great aroma for each of the dishes. A must try!

My mother-in-law Pennie decided to try out this place for dinner last night. She got me the Tom Yum soup with shrimp and Thai spicy rice noodles because I've been craving my hometown food (Penang, Malaysia) for 4+ years so this was the closest she could find from her work area. And I have to say, from authenticity's point of view, the Tom Yum soup is very similar to how I had in Malaysia and Thailand, just without the extra spicy hit that would turn off alot of Westerner's taste buds, it's definitely formulated to balance authenticity with localized spice tolerance and it was balanced really well to still keep the taste and not make my wife drink milk after a taste test haha.As for the Thai spicy rice noodles, to my surprise when I first opened the styrofoam container, it looked and smelled exactly like what Malaysians and Singaporeans would have which we called Char Koay Teow! Albeit, the same goes to it's taste being balanced to suit the local taste buds of not overly spicy, yet maintains the same authentic smell and taste that I would expect for Char Koay Teow. I was overjoyed to have my mother-in-law find the taste that I missed for 4+ years from the other side of the world. She talked to Minnie and had a laugh at how their names rhyme. She commended the service, order was fairly quick. Me, my wife and her had a wonderful dinner together last night that prompted me to write this review and made sure that this fellow Chinese Malaysian here can assure them that we'll come back ordering again.Oh yeah, and the handwriting on the containers were beautifully calligraphic, had to take pictures of them too haha.

I will preface this review by noting that while I've been here a lot over the years, I've only eaten the noodle dishes haha. They have quite a few options and you pick your protein and the preferred type of noodle and it's cooked fresh to order. It's actually pretty tasty and I'm a sucker for noodles of any kind. My favorite here is the yakisoba. It's prepared with a nice variety of fresh vegetables and a light sauce that doesn't leave me feeling thirsty and bloated like a lot of other places. Yakisoba is my favorite comfort food going back to when I lived in Japan and they make it simply, much like my old neighbor in Japan. The lady that seems to always be here when I come is super nice and helpful. The portions are more than enough for me and it's still priced well compared to other places around them. They have an extensive menu, just because I don't order anything else doesn't mean I don't appreciate the variety of the menu, one of these days I'll order something non noodle, it could happen..

This place is absolutely horrible!! The orange chicken had no flavor at all. It tasted like dirt. Like the oil it was fried in hasn't been changed in months. Not sure how this place has 4.5 stars. Wow! Not good at all.

This place is solid for Chinese food. Especially in this area. Honestly, there aren't a whole lot of great taste in Chinese food places in La Mesa or East County. It's located in the food court, and it appears to be family owned. The same friendly woman helps my son and I, every time we come. At times I will enjoy for portioned entrées with another Mom friend and her child. The portions are great, especially for the price. My favorite tends to be either orange chicken, broccoli, beef, and chow mein combo. They offer some other great combination items though. The photo that's posted, the orange chicken and broccoli beef are half eaten so if that gives you a better idea on Porsches... The price for the combination plate was $10.88. Not bad at all!I generally just get a two-item combo plate. They are fairly fast, and they have a sign saying "cooked to order". I don't mind if it takes a couple extra minutes. Generally taste fresh every time. They're chow mein noodles are pretty solid, the brown sauce that the broccoli beef is cooked in is perfectly savory, and they're orange chicken is perfectly crispy and sweet! Definitely worth stopping in for this place whenever we come to Grossmont Center mall.

Very good for a restaurant inside a food court. I had the Singapore noodles and pork fried rice. The woman that helped me was friendly.

They make the most incredible udon noodle stirfry. The service is fast, efficient, and made with love! Compared to most places, they are very inexpensive, yet their quality far exceeds their pricing! Coming here is the best part of my week.

super good chinese food! you would never expect some of the best chinese food to be from a food court, but it was wayyy better than panda express and other places i've tried. their chow mein and fried rice were flavorful while other places tend to require additional sauces for me. the orange chicken was amazing as well and the honey walnut shrimp had pineapple too?! i've never tried that before but it was great. i got it for take out but the woman working there still had great service. i highly recommend trying it when you get that chinese food craving. :)

Just got lunch here and was weary cause it's not very busy at the mall but the service was friendly, food was amazing, and it came quick : )

We were craving some Chinese food and found this business on Grubhub. The food came quickly and was packaged well. I loved the food court prices because it encouraged us to try more items since we'd be eating it at home. We ordered the large orange chicken ($9.50), 2 small soups ($2/each), mapo tofu ($8.25), shrimp udon ($9.50), Thai spicy veggie fried rice ($8.25). I can see what the other reviews meant in terms of not enough spice or salt. We had plenty of chilis at home so it wasn't a problem and I added soy sauce to items that I wanted to be more savory. Overall it was a good experience and I'm glad we gave it a try!

Wow. Usually Chinese food inside a food court is not that good. Usually it's just a meal you buy out of convenience while shopping at the mall. Tasty Inn Express is Chinese restaurant inside a mall that you plan to go to even though it is inside a mall. I ordered the honey chicken and the meat was cooked perfectly. It was tender, not to sweet and made you feel like you were eating at a 5 star gourmet restaurant. I definitely will be eating here again.
