If you want a slightly healthier chicken option then Vons is a great choice. Unlike most Korean Fried Chicken places they have both fried chicken & oven roasted chicken We tried their oven roasted garlic chicken and the flavor was pretty good... I do not think they have whole chicken options though... we saw options for drumsticks or wings or a mix of both or boneless. Their wings were more flavorful than their drumstick and we will probably opt for all wings next time. Definitely worth a try!

Went in because I saw the sign about the 2 chicken sandwich special. thought it would be a good deal and a idea to take my son as we like to try different chicken sandwiches...... Before I go any further, I must say I didn't do what I usually do before going to any NEW PLACE..... CHECK YELP!!!! While ordering, I asked if I could get the reddish from the sandwich on the side and I was told..... "NO, It has to be on the sandwich!!!" Ok, I'll take in off myself..... I thought I'd get some reddish infused into my chicken or something because I don't understand why it can't go on the side...??!?!?! I get the sandwich and not only did she NOT tell us it came with fries, I ordered an additional order of fries for nothing. some butter honey disgusting funnelcake tasting fried sweet potato....all bad. Wow, I still haven't told you about the sandwich, The radish was 2 extremely thin sliced radishes . I did give the sandwich the only favor it had. I don't eat mayo so maybe the flavor is in the sauce that WAS able to be put on the side. I did get a spicy sauce that wasn't spicy at all. This was a waste of $20 for lunch for my son & I . We will be letting this be known on our PODCAST Jewels & Gems Podcast on Apple Podcast & Spotify. Our listeners and yelp friends will know about this experience. I read that there wings are good but after this experience they'd have to pay me to go back to this place

Trying to get the least about of leg as possible i chose the mix half chicken option thinking I'll get 1 leg for each half chicken order but ended up receiving 100% chicken legs for 3 of half Chicken orders. Kids were hungry at this point to try to complain to the restaurant we finish because they came back soccer practice ended up finishing every bit of it. Don't get me wrong the seasoning and flavors are excellent but knowingly not providing the order correctly as it clearly states on the receipt i believe is wrong and 3 stars seems fair.

Von's chicken is amazing! The chicken was light and crispy without any heavy oily taste. The sauces were premium and not too sweet or salty. Fresh shredded green onion on my chicken. Definitely would recommend this restaurant and we will back the next time we are in So Cal.

I ordered a half order of Crispy Yangnyum Chicken and French Fries on line. The online ordering system was easy to use and the quoted time to pickup was reasonable. I was sent an email receipt immediately after I placed my order. I arrived about five minutes prior to the quoted time and my order was ready for pickup. The food was piping hot, so I think it had just been finished. As any normal person will, after returning to my car I immediately opened the package to grab a French Fry. I was surprised to see the Fries packaged up quite snugly. The Fries came in a closed box and when opened I found a square of food grade paper covering the Fries. Already the Fries were feeling a bit too moist and felt like they were losing any crispness that may have been fried in to them. I'm glad I opened the Fries sooner rather than later. I can't say the Fries are worth ordering. They are seasoned, but they don't have much potato flavor. Almost no potato flavor. The seasoning definitely includes garlic. I think garlic powder can sometimes come across as metallic; there was a hint of metallic to the Fries. When ordering the Yangnyun Chicken on line there are options to select. I ordered medium hot. Another option is All Wings, All Drumsticks, or Combo of Wings and Drumsticks. The All Wings option is $2.00 extra. I ordered the Combo, expecting an equal serving of wings and drumsticks. I was wrong. The combo half order of Yangnyum Chicken comes with eight pieces of chicken; 6 drumsticks and 2 wings. I really prefer wings, but I thought I would be satisfied with a 50/50 split of drumsticks to wings. Wrong! I discovered all of this while standing in my kitchen, miles away from Vons Chicken restaurant. Oh well, now I had to eat my chicken and already there was a bad taste in my mouth. The Crispy Yangnyum Chicken was OK. I should have selected the hot option. The medium has some spiciness, but is pretty tame. The chicken was plump and tender. The crispy crust provides a pleasant texture under the Yangnyum sauce. The Yangnyum sauce is a gooey, sticky sweet sauce that will satisfy if you have a sweet tooth. The Yangnyum could benefit from an increase in savory and pulling back on the sugar. I think it is too sweet. The Vons Chicken restaurant is clean and the help behind the counter was prompt, courteous and efficient. I'm not sure I will return to Vons Chicken, I have other Korean fried chicken restaurants to explore, but I wouldn't be opposed trying something else on their menu. I recommend Vons if you live in the area and you want something different for a change.

I really wanted to love this place: the food is so good! After 3 visits, I would suggest that Von's become a take-out only place: they obviously rely on phone (like Uber-Eats) orders & give that business preferential treatment. Walk-Ins not welcome! Von's food is great but their customer service is terrible.
