Very disappointed. Took my mother her for her 85th birthday and invited a few of her friends. I specifically asked the server how the steaks were prepared and was assured that they did not use a broiler. My wife and I do not like steaks with a broiler that creates the burn effect. From the manager I was informed that I need to order my steak sautéed. I don't think I could have been any clearer with the server on how I wanted my steak cooked. My first ribeye came out over cooked and the 2nd one was tough. My wife said her steak tasted burned. The rest of our party had no issues. It seems that they use the broiler on one side. That side is then hidden by being placed on the hot plate. It was not until we got home and looked at the leftovers that we found the grill marks on the steaks. The cost of my steak was refunded but nothing for my wife's steak that was also cooked different from our instructions. This was a missed opportunity by management to get us to come back and try them again. Both steaks should have been credited or a gift card for two entrees. The other downside is the noise. It is almost impossible to be able to talk to each other across the table.

Went to celebrate an event with the fam - as always, the food was great and the service was excellent. Never experienced anything less than awesome here... 22 years in, they're still an exceptional place to dine.

We had a lovely time. The service was wonderful and the steak was cooked to perfection. Had a nice ribeye that we split. Unfortunately the brussels sprouts just didn't do it for us. Undercooked and unusual flavor. They were very kind and comped the brussels sprouts. Overall a great meal and we will most likely return on next visit to the desert.

The house special table side Caesar salad was just ok. Perhaps my expectations were too high. Got the New York strip at medium. The plates were too hot. The steak cooked to a well done before I could finish the meal. Overall, ok place if you can't get reservations at the other steakhouses.

4-13-24 @ 7:30pm. Place was only 1/3 full at most. My wife and I ordered salads, steak, and wine. Servers were nice but slow to attend to us. After an hour wait I asked for a status on our meal. When it was finally brought to our table the steak was cold, fatty, and chewy. I asked for a refund because we didn't have another hour to wait for the restaurant to cook a fresh steak. It took more discussion than it should have for a refund and for this unprofessional reason I will discourage others from going.

I've had the best steak ever. Salads are also made right in front of your table. I fell in love with this place.

Unless ordering a large quantity waiters weren't interested in your table. Our waiter came to our table 3 times total in our total 2 hours there. Food was incredible. Steak will be hard pressed to be beat. Good to know it is an A La Carte restaurant before going.

First time here and For a steakhouse in the La Quinta area, this was a very disappointing culinary experience. I would have given them 1 star but I will give them 2. Here's the reason why I gave them 2 stars: 1. Service was so slow...I don't understand for a bit pricey of a steakhouse our server was just not attentive. During our entire meal, I had to flag another server twice looking for our server. 2. We ordered a bottle of wine and its suppose to usually come first before the appetizers at even served but we were halfway thru eating our appetizer and we had to call our server. I asked him where's our bottle of wine and he forgot. Then to make matters worse, the bottle of wine that I initially chose wasn't available, which again was a big disappointment coz steakhouses at usually stocked with all vintages that they have on the menu. So our server came back with another bottle and offered us another vintage that was $40 more than what I originally chose and he recommended it. And usually you pour just a little bit to try but he poured a substantial amount on my glass already and also started pouring it on the glasses on my friends without allowing me to try it first. It wasn't the best vintage and would have not taken it but I felt bad for our server already. 3. Third my friend ordered a medium rare filet mignon and our other friend ordered a rare rib eye. When our food came, they served a medium rare rib eye and a rare filet mignon. The saving grace was the crab cake was good but the portion was little bit small. The truffle was good. The calamari was ok as the batter wasn't as crispy to my liking and it needed a little bit salt. For 4 people, it cost us about $150 pp. We could have gone to Ruth's Chris' or Mastros and prolly spend almost the same amount and would have gotten better food. I don't think I will ever come back to LG. My hope is that management will do something about the service and quality of food.
