After a long day of moving, we stumbled across Mario's in La Quinta. We were promptly seated and given our drink order. Then we waited and waited. After about 30 minutes, we approached the front desk to speak to a manager. There wasn't a manager on duty. We asked to pay and explained that the server was MIA. The cashier said 'yeah, he likes to stand around and talk to the other servers.' Guess while the cat's away, the mice will play.

This is a fabulous, moderately priced Italian restaurant. Lat visiting Palm Springs/La Quinta area we ate here 3 times.Food was amazing and portions large. Lots of seniors there and the seemed to love this place. It has been here for over 50 years. We had everything from lobster/crab cannoli, to massive pork shank, to spinach salads, to pizza and more.Try it.

Cheesy garlic bread with marinara sauce was delicious, as always. The dish I ordered came much later, could be its not often ordered. Kim the waitress with the genuine smile was fabulous all the way through, didn't miss a beat.

Ordered take-out chicken marsala from LaQuinta. It was spaghetti noodles in olive oil. Had no wine or beef broth. My wife's chicken alfredo was very heavy with garlic and was very dry, not creamy at all.Of course we didn't discover this until we got back to Desert Hot Springs.Totally disappointed and cannot recommend this restaurant.

This has the best Italian food. The pizza is best in the desert! I always get bolognese with angel hair pasta. Delicious every single time. I'm a local since 1989 and I'm not friends or family.

Solid local Italian restaurant chain that looked to be very popular with visitors and local residents. Family friendly relaxed atmosphere. I enjoyed the pasta carbonara.

Recently went for the first time. The place was pretty busy which is a good sign. Good old fashion simple italian food. They serve wine bu the GOBLET (Big glass!) and its filled up the the rim!!!! The homemade minestrone soup is excellent and I should have ordered a bowl rather than a cup! Pizza was just ok. Chicken Parm with spaggetti is a great deal at $15.99 .. was good for the price. I will go again and try some other items. SERVICE WAS OUTSTANDING!
