There are a number of things I like about this restaurant. The food is delicious. The staff is friendly, warm and accommodating. There are three dining areas from which to choose. But above all I appreciate the quality of the food. Most of the food here is organic, even the wine! I trust the ingredients at this restaurant.

Food was good but extremely overpriced. For 2 pasta dishes it was $57. In my mushroom ravioli dish, I might have had 8 raviolis….?

Maro is my favorite restaurant around. I am addicted to the mesquite fire grilled veggies and meat (their green beans and cap steak are my favorite) and can never resist a bottle of Argentine Malbec with my empanadas. I also love the banana bread pudding. The ambience is great, it reminds me of being in a little restaurant somewhere on the Mediterranean. Also the service is the best of any restaurant in the area. I can't more highly recommend this place!

It was a great meal! I had the Veal Chop Milanse, and it was very tender. The other person in my party had Branzino! A great meal overall!

We really enjoyed our dinner, and appreciated the staff to make available the mixed vegetables plate that was no longer on the menu. It was very beautifully arranged and served. (See picture)The Octopus in the Octopus salad were cut into very small pieces, I’d love to have larger chunks. Overall it was just ok.Tips: at least on a not so busy Tuesday night, the food came out very slowly, especially the skirt steak. They are served on Laguna/Argentine time! Do not go if you’re in a rush.

Small but smartly-used dining space; dining space faces PCH and not to ocean, which is just fine, but just helpful info. Sauces were very good; nice meal and staff. Great wine choices!

I wanted to like this place. The smell of the fire wood is intoxicating. The menu is great. The ambiance is nice (although the fake grass is a tad cheesy, it’s better than asphalt). But, there’s no value for money here. #1, the portions don’t match the prices. This might be excusable if the service/experience was incredible, but lots of little things add up to drag it down.-empanada was tiny-grilled zucchini had great flavor from the wood, but was over salted. The portion was at less what you would expect.-ribeye was a small but not outrageously small portion, however, I ordered medium-rare and was served rare. The odd shape and cut, combined with the rarity forced me to saw into a wobbly chunk of meat and chew for 10 minutes each bite… Flavor was good, but under-salted. The vegetables on the side were great.-chicken parmigiana was excellent (most places give you a heavily battered oily mess with an undercooked dry piece of chicken inside, but this one was light and moist inside)- I had an excellent Malbec-the waiter wasn’t the most attentive. He spent probably 25 minutes chatting with a table without even glancing our direction (finally we got up and asked another member of the staff to turn on the heater). He gave off a vibe that made us feel like an inconvenience.- the food took a while. Longer than you expect for these prices

A gem of a restaurant, hidden in Laguna Beach... A must-try restaurant! Amazing, amazing, amazing food! Impeccably wonderful staff, on top of the relaxing ambiance of this place. My favorite dishes are the Octopus Salad and the Grilled Green Beans. I highly recommend this place!!! I will definitely be returning!

I am putting two stars only because the fillet mignon was good (small portion).Gnocchi were overcooked.Chicken parmigiana was bland.Rigatoni and pasta pomodoro was bad. It tasted like the kitchen staff used a bottle of Ragú, instead of something homemade. The octopus was burnt.
