This place is nostalgic. Our family used to be regulars here over 15 years ago. We haven't been in a long time and decided to check out their Taco Tuesday specials. This place gets really busy and the wait was between 20 mins to an hour around 6PM on Tuesdays. They do turn over tables pretty fast though. Exterior & Interior... nothing has changed, still the same Flamingos we used to eat at. I love their complimentary chips and salsa here. For starters, we did their sampler platter ($17) which included - taquitos, chicken tenders, chicken wings, jalapeno poppers, nachos, and quesadilla with sour cream and guac, this was a great deal. Their Taco Tuesday special is $2.99 tacos with a purchase of any drink. The tacos are limited to just their shredded beef or shredded chicken CRISPY tacos. Not sure what the limit is with each drink. Tacos were okay. I felt like we got more lettuce and cheese than chicken or beef. Food came out in a timely manner and the servers were very attentive to refill waters and clear tables. Service is great. I'd love to come back and just try something else on the menu.

Ok so first of all the food was decent. My wife had shrimp fajitas and I had a Big Juan Burrito. It was tasty enough. The food came quickly and our waiter was pretty attentive. I had a nice jalapeño margarita. If I stopped here they would get 3 stars and possibly 4. Trouble is there's more. One of our forks had food on it. That is always bad. Then they brought the food. There was a radish garnish on my plate that was rotten. And not a little bit. A lot rotten. We pointed out both of these issues to our server. And he did absolutely nothing about it. Even after collecting the rotten radish off my plate he never came back nor did the manager. Epic fail. All considered, this is just an average Mexican restaurant. I've been to a hundred of them. Which is fine. Until it's not.

This place is the bomb. Old school Northern Mexican cuisine, not fussy, moderately priced, efficient and friendly service. A pure delight. My waiter Victor was perfect.

I can't believe I've lived only 5 minutes away from this place for 7+ years and this is the first time I've been! I've missed out though. It was very busy on a Friday night (a good sign) but we got seated faster than anticipated and the food is very delicious, proportions are big, and service was friendly. A step above El Torito, which closed anyway. The cocktails are fairly priced as well! My husband and I had a date night but will definitely come back with our kdis.
