Our dinner reservation was for our wedding anniversary. The hostess was lovely, helped us right away and found us a great table. We waited about 10 minutes until someone approached us, She didn't introduce herself, just asked if she could start us with drinks. She seemed confused when we ordered a glass of wine, asked if we were going to share a glass. What, who does that? We then ordered the scallop appetizer. When she brought our wine, we ordered our entrees. The appetizer came quickly, but we never saw her again until we were almost done with our entrees. She (Courtney we overheard at another table) walked by us several times, stood at the next table several times, but never even glanced in our direction. It was everyone else who helped us, especially the wonderful male server who has been there over 20 years, Jameson I believe his name was. He wished us a happy anniversary twice and spent more time with us than our actual server. Courtney could have served us another glass of wine, but she never asked, her loss. She didn't ask us about dessert, but we ordered one to go. The food was delicious but the prices are outrageous. $23 for spinach florentine with four, not so well cooked, scallops (they were mushy, not seared enough), and we had to ask for bread. It's an awkward dish to eat without something to dip in it. I like the new pay system at the table, but it wouldn't show us an itemized receipt, so we had to trust that the total was correct. As a former server/bartender, I normally tip 20 - 30%, but Courtney was so inattentive, we only gave her 15%. She could use some training. We've enjoyed this beautiful and historic restaurant for years, so we'll return, but it would be great if we could request our server. The male server was outstanding! The food is delicious, but with the prices, we'll probably only return for special occasions. Thank you for the opportunity to comment.

Went along for a relatively early dinner- the staff were excellent and friendly from start to finish. We had multiple people look after the table, without ever being intrusive. They were chatty, without being overbearing, and their recommendations were much appreciated. The food was great, simple but effective fare. Went for short rib at the waiters reco, and got a steak as, Why not?! Great experience, will return

The service was Excellent! Joel went beyond the call of duty to make our anniversary dinner special. My husband loved his chicken pot pie! My chicken piccata was just ok. Our bread pudding was fabulous! Very sweet restaurant. Comfy and cozy!

My husband and I spontaneously decided to have a quick overnight getaway in Lake Arrowhead. We booked a cozy cabin at the Saddleback Inn, where we were pleasantly surprised to discover an onsite dining option called the Saddleback Grill! What excited me even more was finding gluten-free options marked on their online menu.Inside, the ambiance was warm and inviting, a welcome respite from the cold and snowy weather outside. Although the menu in the restaurant itself didn't indicate gluten-free options, we simply referred to the online menu. Additionally, the chef graciously came out to our table to discuss my allergies in detail, ensuring that my meal would be prepared safely. After careful consideration, I decided on the filet mignon served with mashed potatoes and carrots, all of which would be cooked separately in clean pans with clean kitchen tools. Every bite was delicious, and I felt completely at ease knowing that precautions had been taken to accommodate my dietary needs. My husband also ordered the onion soup and said it was the best he has ever had. Not gluten free though.Meanwhile, my husband, who doesn't require a gluten-free diet, opted for the pork schnitzel, which he described as amazing. We also enjoyed a beet salad, which left a lasting impression and is something I would definitely order again. The drinks we ordered were the Paloma, and an old fashioned which was a bit sweet and had crushed ice. My husband had a manhattan later in our evening and he said that was the best of the drinks.Overall, our dining experience was exceptional, and I wouldn't hesitate to order the same dishes on our next visit. We're already looking forward to returning to Saddleback Inn soon for another memorable getaway!

Great experience from bartender to servers. Food was delicious. Full of flavor, great portions. Recommend to anyone... the lobster escargot is a must appetizer if you enjoy lobster.

Always good. NY strip is finally on the menu as a regular and is delicious especially how they do it w bleu cheese. Love the salads. The schnitzel is my favorite on the menu and the duck is a must. Mashed potatoes are ok just not consistent. Some nights great some nights not. Jenga ribs are amazing just whole lot. The appetizer is the way to go so you can eat an entree too! Bread pudding is the perfect close to a good meal. Oh I cannot forget Jasmine! Greatest bartender up here.

High end fare. The main menu choices included steak, fish, lamb chops, and pasta. A nice variety of wine to choose from for our dinner. Our meal of steak and lamb chops was delicious. We especially enjoyed the scallops appetizer and the double chocolate cake for dessert. We will definitely be visiting again.

This place is magical! Adorable, affordable little cabins in the snowy mountains less than a mile from Lake Arrowhead and Lake Arrowhead Village! Heather was amazingly kind and accommodating. They even allow pets and the atmosphere is just amazing!

Salmon way hard as a rock and over cooked. French onions soup had way too many croutons and not enough broth. Won't be returning. Kids meals were $17 each for buttered pasta. Felt ripped over. Go to Antlers Inn in Twin Peaks it's excellent and worth the money.

We have never had a bad meal here, the food is always hot and delicious and the service is always great, even if they are busy (which is usually the case) they do a great job. We always come here when we are in town and always look forward to it.

We had a great stay! This is not a luxury hotel, it is more like cozy. The staff is amazing! Friendly and helpful all the way. Location is great. Easy walk to the Village, or, you can walk the other direction and have a quiet walk through the residential neighborhood (my dog loved it!). Very pet friendly and very quiet. The property is made of a few different buildings and some of the rooms are "cabins" that you have all to yourself. Very comfy beds. They have a free continental breakfast (cereal, bagels, danish and coffee). Although you have TVs in the rooms, there isn't much selection but we didn't watch much TV anyway. Wifi was good (and free).
