Good food but pricey for a hole in the wall place serving drinks in to go cups wish it was served as restaurant style if you are going to charge that much

The chef was kind and patient, and he seemed like the only employee, but we came on a not busy weekday. Seems good for takeout. Decent portion sizes.

We went here for the first time because this place had good reviews, but I was deeply DISAPPOINTED. I ordered Saltado shaken fries . The dishes we ordered seemed to be OLD and not fresh as if they been reheated, and wasn't even warm enough. The flavors were bland and lacking of freshness. It was obvious that even French Fries and tomatoes were just warmed up

I came here for lunch and ordered the stone bowl soup with beef ribs. I wish there was a pre-photo before i started eating... lol. It was really pretty and really good - i really enjoyed the enoki mushrooms, the beef was super tender... delicious. I took off one star because there wasn't alot of meat on the beef ribs. I would come again and try something new.

Found this spot near my work place around the Spectrum. What a lucky find! I got the Fam Combo with BBQ Beef Ribs for lunch. I called in to order for pick up and the food was ready in 10 minutes. They were all super nice and accommodating. The food was super good! The ribs were already covered in a sauce but then they gave you another sauce on the side to dip and yessss. Together it was amazing! Will definitely be making more stops here during my lunch.

They forgot to turn on their open sign so we almost thought they were closed when it was noon. This is a hidden gem in the neighborhood I recommend you guys try they have a very very small menu but I loved the garlic noodles and the stone bowl soup! They also have one the best Vietnamese ice coffee here! I wish they opened earlier because I would be ordering my ice coffee here every morning before I head to work. The waiter he's very shy I think maybe he's the owners son. I would definitely come back and support this small business!

Delicious comfort food. The noodles are so buttery, salty and sweet, and just perfect. It goes so well with the crispy tofu and chili oil. Not pictured but we also tried the mushroom topped noodles and those were also tasty. Fam's is one of Lake Forest's hidden gems, it's never busy and so the service is quick and efficient. It is simple and casual in the best way possible.

Delicious! Home style Perfect portions of protein & carbs! Food is overall not salty, not too spicy, not too strong of a particular flavor; well balanced. The roasted chicken was cooked on point! Overall, we had a good, happy lunch!

We used to love this restaurant until today during our wedding anniversary.. we were in the middle of our dinner and theres a huge group that came. Mind you it was only us eating in the place, then the server asked us to move. Were willing to move to the next table but no, he asked us to move towards the other side of the resto. Like why can they sit over there? Why do we have to move in the middle of our dinner? It ruined our night. My husband was really upset, he just wanted to have a nice meal but it was ruined bec people does not haveany consideration of other people. As much as i love this mini resto im pretty sure my husband wont come back. And to make it worst my filet minon was bright red inside, its RAW. as soon as we come out i threw up. Its such a shame how 1 unfortunate situation ruined everything for us. I had an unfortunate rxp w/ them the 2nd time we came back but i shrug it off since they gave us new drinks, but this time i have to share how upset i am. Pls be considerate next time

So I avoid a restaurant in my home town that I can walk to because of its long lines, but then I go to Fam's Kitchen which is far away because it has almost the same menu? Even I don't get myself sometimes. If you come to Fam's Kitchen and feel half of the menu is eerily similar to Vox Kitchen (in Fountain Valley), you are probably not wrong because some dishes are similar. Why would I go to Fam's, when Vox is right by my house and Vox does things so well? Because the foodie in me was curious. Is it going to taste different? Is it going to taste the same? Saltado Shaken Fries w/ Filet Mignon and Garlic Noodle Upgrade - I do love this best of both worlds. The lomo saltado dish comes with white rice, but for $3 more you can sub in garlic noodles. They gave a very sizable portion of noodles that I could eat equally with the lomo saltado. The filet mignon pieces were cooked medium rare, tender and very flavorful. They were quick tossed with tomatoes, red onions and hot crispy fries so that the fries could absorb some of the glaze/sauce. They served it with a ramekin of aji sauce (a creamy Peruvian sauce of either serrano or jalapeno peppers, cilantro, mayo and lime juice. Fam's version of the aji sauce has a very spicy kick to it that might clear your nose at first. I had high standards in comparing this dish to other places' versions and I will say it impressed me. Would gladly come here again just to get this. Their menu is simple and there are other things I'd try if more people were with me... Popcorn chicken, Fried Chicken Wings, Spicy Shrimp and Pork Wontons, Stone Bowl Soup and Fried Rice. With most dishes you get pick your protein (extra charge). The restaurant is not that big, they have about eight tables that can seat four people each. The food is freshly made to order and came out quickly. New Asian fusion casual restaurants are starting to pop up in South County... I love it!

I wanted to try this Vox Kitchen knock-off for a long time and finally got a chance to do so. Tried the Stone Bowl Bone-In Short Rib Soup (Korean Galbitang) as a test. And although it was a valiant effort, it left something to be desired, as the broth was surprisingly bland. It sure didn't LOOK like it would be bland, but it kept begging the question, "what's missing here?" It was basically underseasoned, while there seemed to be an overabundance of black pepper. All they need to do is add more salt or soy sauce and it would make it so much better. And this is coming from a guy who avoids salty food every chance he gets. The short rib itself was great though, with the meat falling off the bone easily as it should. I would rate the dish 6 out of 10.
