Saw a few negative reviews on this place but decided to go into this without a biased opinion. First of all this is fast food Chinese style run by an independent owner and not a large franchise. So can hopefully expect better value and lower price point but not lower quality The service is efficient if not friendly. The ambiance is simple and impressively clean...I have been to quite a few mom and pop shops and have never seen one this sparkling. As for the food they give very large portions even if in a smaller food serving container. The friend rice run of the mill, the lo mein noodles were soft as well as satisfying (much more than the P. EXPRESS), the veggies well sauteed, and as for the bbq pork...well some was overcooked and dry and some were more tender. So a little mixed feeling on the main course but overall a solid spot to fix the need and always try to be supportive of the neighborhood vendors.

This is by far the greatest Chinese restaurant in lake forest. You get a lot of food for a decent price. I got the three item meal and it was around 12 dollars but let me tell you , you get tons of food enough to feed an entire family with the single plate. Food was amazing orange chicken was extremely juicy and tasty, fried rice was cooked to perfection, and their egg roll was extremely delicious would come here every day if I lived closer. If you're looking for a perfect chinese takeout Mr.Wok is the place to go.

I could've sworn I left a 5 star review for Mr Wok years ago! This is our go-to Chinese Food spot in this part of Orange County! There are a lot of sketchy spots when you want a mom and pops alternative to Panda Express and Mr Wok is a breath of fresh air. First off, when you walk in, it is EXTREMELY clean inside. They do a great job of making sure it's welcoming. Second, all of the food is always super fresh and delicious. We love their orange chicken, always crispy with big pieces of actual chicken inside (not just all batter). The BBQ pork is juicy, tender and well marinated. The salt & pepper wings are also super tasty. After eating the meals, I never feel gross either! Goes to the level of quality for a great price! If you're looking for top tier (American) Chinese food, this is the spot!!!!

Great food, we love to order lo-main Chicago style and the seafood soup, prices went up but is worth once in a while.

Some of the best Chinese takeout in OC! Fast, friendly service and inexpensive to boot! The staff are very kind and will make dishes to order if the food you want isn't laid out when you order. Delicious, huge portions, always a great meal with leftovers after. Definitely recommend the Kung Pao Chicken! (They'll make it for you if you ask! ?)

Mr. Wok is one of the few independent Chinese fast food restaurants left in South County when you don't feel like Panda Express but still want that good, old Americanized-Chinese fast food. 2-item combo will set you back $10.60 (pre-tax as of December 2023) which is pretty darn good, considering the amount of food you will get! They don't ridiculously overload the to-go box like some other places but I don't mind; personally, I don't want my entrees mixing and spilling out the container anyway. But you do still get generous portions as they don't scrimp like Panda Express. I'm partial to their chicken wings, orange chicken, teriyaki chicken, and BBQ pork. Service is pleasant, parking is plentiful, and they accept both cash/credit.

Food: Ordered the crispy chicken, orange chicken, spicy honey chicken, BBQ chicken (extra $1.50) and broccoli beef. Nothing short of the amazing Chinese takeout you're used to, all delicious. They have 1-3 entrée item combos, which you can choose half-and-half fried noodles and fried rice, or either or. Service: Very pleasant and friendly, greeted with warm smiles. When asked for it to-go, they included utensils, napkins, and condiments without having to request for them. Ambiance: could use a new breath but overall does not take away from the dining experience. Adequate indoor seating. Clean interior. Overall: Similar to Panda Express, but way more generous with the portions with unbeatable prices and friendly service, you would not want to miss. Highly recommend, definitely be coming here again.

I had the worst experience eating the orange chicken and the Kung Pao chicken. The chicken was black with this weird taste.Don't be fooled by the stars this place has. This place makes all reviews look bad.Nowadays to have over 4.0 stars it's all done by family members and friends giving spicy reviews.I choose panda 10x over Mr wok.The only good thing about Mr. Wok if anything is the noodles and thy are still not that great. This place is overrated and I wouldn't be surprised if the mystery meat they call chicken is something unpleasant.
