FEB 18, 2024I was just here at 6pm and the customer service was not good at all. The girl at the counter taking my dad and I’s order was not smiling at all when we were called up. She was happy and smiling with her coworker, but not with us. We had originally ordered 2 chili cheese fries and 2 shakes. When we went to pick up our food, we only saw 1 chili cheese fries and asked where the second one was. The worker looked at us like we were stupid and said ‘You ordered 2 chili cheese fries, not 1?’ and I said yes. My dad and I then looked at our receipt and saw that she only charged us for 1…now, I normally wouldn’t be annoyed by this but this girl was just unpleasant the whole time she was dealing with us. If I could give her 0 stars, I would. THE WORKERS NAME WAS YVONNE!

I ordered my burger with some extra bacon cheese, avocado, etc. I specifically asked for no tomato no pickle. They still put it on there. I spent $25 with the burger fries and a strawberry shake. It took 30 minutes for my food and they still got it wrong. They were not even that busy. They actually have the audacity to ask for a tip when you pay for your food. And to clarify, nobody specifically said may I have a tip but when you have to fill it out as part of your payment options, that’s the same thing as asking. The prices are ridiculous. The food is not great. I will not be returning. I could have gone in and out and had a much better experience. So much for trying to spend my money locally. Yes I did try and call and no one picked up the phone.

From experience this casino has the best RTP for slots. It’s super far from anything and the hills to get there don’t make it easy on gas. I suppose it’s good that they take care of their best players but they won’t let you stay at the hotel unless you have hit a certain tier. Long story short: if you don’t play a lot of money on the machines then they won’t let you stay their even if pay cash money.

Love the Barona!! Highly recommend!! I live in Texas and was going to be in the San Diego area for my job. I frequent Winstar casino in Oklahoma and booked a stay with Steven at the Barona. It blows Winstar away!! This place is beautiful and we loved the balcony view from our room. Steven checked on us throughout our stay and ensured we were having a good time. Ask for Steven, he is amazing! The slots were loose and we had a fantastic time. We loved the food court and you must have a cinnamon roll from the coffee shop!! Already planning our next trip to stay at the Barona Casino and Resort!!

Wow! The burgers are on a different level! Cooked to order and the way you want them! I can not remember ever tasting a burger this good! This casino is fantastic! Super clean! All the staff is super friendly!

I love the atmosphere the kindness.I must say the best thing I enjoyed about it all is there was a employee there named Ben Jackson who was so kind and respectful but he was so great to me and my friend he bought are dinner because my friend would have to of had to run back to car to get money but ben offered we said it’s ok but he insisted he is a great young man and barona should be proud to have a employee like that and need more people like him.# 1 barona moment

SCAMMED at BARONA CASINO! You never think that it would happen to you but my Debit card had a zero balance after visiting Barona on the weekend. There was a customer at the casino that also was scammed and her entire bank account was drained. She spoke to Barona management and they did nothing to accommodate her and denied that scammers exist at the casino. A cell-phone-sized RFID reader can pick up card information from 10 feet away so you'll never know that your card info has been hacked until it's too late! Don't believe the hype about 'loosest' slot machines that Barona advertises - it's a JOKE!!!!

Previous reviews stated the casino was too cheap to purchase a liquor license. Alcohol only served in restaurants, not in casino. Reason is the responsible decision to limit consumption due to hazardous drive on Wildcat Canyon Road and help decrease serious accidents. I applaud the decision.
We have been to multiple Northern California casinos. This one is very neatly laid out, lots of space between slot machine clusters. Clean an well-maintained. And the payout ratios seem quite good. Plus the food court has good options and reasonable prices. Parking was easy, even during the busy Thanksgiving long weekend.

I was the only one in line and literally waited 20 minutes for a chicken sandwich and a malt. Both were garbage.. Staff didn't give 2 F's about anything. Never again..

I live in Central California and drive over 5 hours to get to Barona. We like to gamble, and Barona is by far our favorite Casino. The staff and free comps. make it worth it. Overall, we have done pretty good when we gamble. We don't always win (like all other casino's), but we always have a great time. Johnny Bucalo, casino host is always friendly and helpful. Not the biggest Casino, not the smallest Casino but it is just right. Oh, and the food is good too.

This casino used to be one the best casinos to play blackjack, but now it's a suckers carnival. New cards come out premixed and they won't display them on the table before putting them in their 'crooked' shuffle master machines. The cards come out in clumps of A, 2, 3, 4, 9, 10's & 7, 8, 9s & 10's more often than not which gives the house an enormous advantage if you're playing basic strategy. They keep the tables crowded which slows the game down as well. This casino has the highest overhead of all the Southern California casino's and they're very tight. My wife plays slots, and had never one anything at this casino. The only thing positive about this casino is the staff is very friendly, reasonably priced food, nice hotel and it's non-smoking.
