The food was good. It took a bit to come out but overall, it was yummy. The owner doesn't speak English well and may seem standoffish.

We frequent this place often. My favorite is The Spicy Beef clear noodle vegetable soup (Yuk Kae Jung) is very god here. Bibimbab is another very good dish. Their food all around is pretty good. Small mom and pop kind of place. Sometime we dine in and other times we order to go. Always good food and never had any issues of the years.

Came here on a thrusday early lunch! The food was good, but the only thing I have to say is that it's a little overpriced. I know I could have made this at home, but today, I was feeling a little under the weather to so came to try this place because I was craving the bibimbab.Would come back to try other food they have here for sure! They have a LUNCH Special for 7days11am-3pmOrdered2 Marinated beef which cost20.991 Vegetable & Rice in Hot PotI believe it was 17.99 or 16.99 around there1 Ramen cost8.99

Their ddukmanduguk is the most delicious I've had. I was looking for a place that had this dish on new years. A bunch of places on yelp said they were open, but when I went there they were not. This place was the only place that was actually open. I've tried this dish in a lot of places in Fullerton, Buena Park, la Palma, but this is the only place that makes it taste soooooo good. The broth is actually very flavorful and perfectly seasoned. A really good ratio of mandu and dduk. 10/10 would recommend

Ive been to many Korean restaurants around So Cal and the Tteok Mandu Guk (rice cake dumpling soup) is one of the most flavorful I've had thus far. The portion for the price is satisfying. The place only had one other party, but the person who helped me was very friendly and helped me as soon as I came in. The plaza usually has ample parking during the day and a few designated spots for when the kbbq next door gets busy.

I had high expectations of Dae Bak in Lakewood due to the positive reviews I had read. Unfortunately, my experience fell short of those expectations. Upon arrival, I was greeted by what I believe to be the owner, who did not provide a warm welcome or show any sign of customer service. Instead, I was pointed towards a table and handed a menu without any acknowledgment or friendliness. The lack of communication continued throughout my visit. When I placed my order for ramen, I thanked the owner, but received no response. He simply turned away and went back to his counter duties. This gave the impression that customer interaction was not a priority. Disappointingly, the ramen itself was underwhelming. It lacked the unique flavors and depth that I had hoped for. The quality was comparable to something I could have easily made at home, which was disappointing considering this is a restaurant specializing in Korean cuisine. After finishing my meal, I paid and once again thanked the owner, but was met with silence. The lack of gratitude or acknowledgment left a sour taste in my mouth and contributed to my overall negative experience. Given the subpar food and poor customer service, I have decided not to return to Dae Bak. Thankfully, there are many other Korean food options in the area that I can explore instead.

The food is amazing. Every time we visit LA we make sure to eat here. It’s a husband and wife team who put so much love and care into the food and service. The bulgogi, tofu soup, and Korean pancake are my favorite. The banchan is great - maybe the best restaurant kimchi I’ve ever had (my girlfriend makes the best kimchi ever). You should eat here.

This is by far one of the best and most unique Korean restaurants I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. The menu contains nothing but the most high quality and authentic Korean food that can be found no where else. Truly a must for anyone craving traditional Korean food.

Im going to give this place a zero. i was washing aat a near by wash house and wanted to stop and give this place a try. My daughter (2 years old) and I sat down and immediately felt unwelcome. I asked about their rice options and he said they were sold out, yet i see other ppl with rice on their plates and its 12pm. Discrimination at its finest. So i just got up and left, dont eat here unless you're korean.

The food is amazing. All of the soups are great. My favorite is the tofu. The bulgogi is a must. The Korean pancake is a must. Every time we visit LA, we eat here at least once. It tastes like home. You should eat here. We forget to take pictures of the food because we're too excited to eat it.

The food here is great! It's a mom & pop shop and it was only the two of them working when I went. It may take a little bit for your food to come out but well worth it, and I love supporting small businesses! We ordered the seafood pancake, galbi, bulgogi, soft tofu soup, and noodle with soup and everything was fantastic! The side dishes are also delicious. My boyfriend doesn't even like kimchi and he loved theirs so much, we had it refilled 3 times lol. I love seafood pancake so I order it wherever I go and I LOVE theirs. It's crispy all around and not too dough-y and dense. Galbi was sooo tender! I didn't eat the bulgogi or tofu soup but my friends said they were all good too. I wasn't expecting the noodle with soup to be so big but it was huge, so definitely a shareable dish! The noodles were chewy and bouncy. We'd all come here again! The wife was in the kitchen while the husband was out in front. He doesn't speak English well from what I've gathered so I don't know why some people are upset he's not starting up a conversation with them. He's very polite and answered our questions to the best of his ability. It's not Asian culture to say you're welcome but we bow instead, and I noticed whenever we'd say something, he'd dip his head which is typically a sign of gratitude. Do not eat at ethnic places if you're expecting American customer service lmao. Anyways, 10/10 recommend :)

Parking was no problem, there were a lot of spaces. The menu is small but all the food was really delicious. There was a bit of a wait to get our food but we weren't in a rush so it was not a big deal. The restaurant is pretty big and the booths were spacious. I would definitely go back just for the Korean pancake, if came out so crunchy and good.
